We did. But there’s much more going on beneath the surface. Delighted to get three points after a red card. But they’re costing us more than we’re gaining. Summat ain’t right.

Good result in the end after a smash and grab win.
I keep the same opinion after the game though, I rarely come away from games anymore impressed. I don’t think i’m the only person that feels this way either, as I look around the the once very loud Dartford fans, a lot of them are more interested in having a chat rather than watch the football, but who can blame them. No matter the result I always feel a weird sense of disappointment in our performances and things that occurred during the game. Today imo, was a very poor game of football, very hit and hope but 2 glimpses from Box lead us to victory. I do feel Ady is often bailed out by the sheer quality some of our players have, I do see some Samir slander on here and I do believe it’s very unwarranted, what he lacks in work rate he completely makes up for in ability, In my 15 years of watching Dartford ( I know plenty have watched more) I don’t think i’ve seen many more players with vision and ability on his level.
All in all it’s a good 3 points, doesn’t change the fact a few teams can overtake us with games in hand but we can only keep beating what’s infront of us.

We won. That's a bonus, that's all I asked for.
Dulwich Saturday.
Discipline is a worry, admittedly. But then Michael was off the pace in our last home game. Wandered about like he had his hands in his pockets.
We could be in trouble soon at this rate.
But a win is what we went for no matter how ugly.
Glad that McLeod is showing his face.

Agree ! We have a better team than our points tally shows we have 2 strikers who have 21 goals between them and talent all over the pitch however we seem to still be lacking a real leader and or discipline throughout the squad which has to stop from today no more excuses about refs or opposition buying fouls it’s an internal issue that need to be sorted.

Now with Luther back think this Captain has to go, 3 sending offs this season just a total liability and not the best of players by far.

3 points tonight... Brilliant to be there, in freezing cold!
Yet another Captain's Red Card... Not Good!
How not to have another Red Card (or more yellows)!
On to Saturday, v Dulwich Hamlet!

Totally agree with your comments re Samir. There is nobody in this division with his vision. He makes the team tick and he scores goals. He works very hard to get on the pitch as he almost certainly pushes his body beyond the limit to get on the field. He is very often heavily strapped up from thigh to ankle on both legs but thankfully in the last game or two I see less strapping.
We cannot afford to lose a player like Samir. I reckon he is also very important off the field in getting his team mates ready for games
An excellent player who I can see go into coaching once he stops playing

I thought Luther had a very good game tonight bearing in mind he’s been totally out of the picture and shipped out.
The game itself wasn’t the best but a win is a win.
I said during pre season that Micheal wouldn’t even make my first 11, let alone be captain.
Pennock needs to show a bit of strength now and move him on, he’s a liability.

Just got home and if you'd asked me straight after the final whistle when i was bloody cold I'd have said it was a poor game lacking quality.
But I've warmed up nicely and if you take everything into consideration it was an important three points on the road.
It's not a nice place to play football and even worse having to travel down on a Tuesday night. A poor pitch, sloping all over the place and one of those grounds where there's no atmosphere. Add to that we had several players missing again i think you have to say it was a good nights work, even though it wasn't great to watch.
As others have said another needless sending off but luckily enough this time they had one as well so it didn't really effect us in this game, but going forward it's certainly not going to help.
MOTM between Henley and Box, Henley made some important saves but i just went for Box in the end as his goals were crucial.

Hopefully this is Ady saying enough is enough with the red cards and the silly yellows that turn into reds it simply just has to stop.
I would be making Tennent captain for the next game he is a natural leader, would also be checking my phone book for Josh Hills number to see if he fancies being a very good back up if needed for our centre of defence. Sure he would prefer princess Park over Snodland if he has changed his mind about retiring

The best action you can take Ade is, show the player the door and that will focus the rest of the squad to behave

Couldn’t agree more, although tennant has 5 yellows and will be suspended Saturday

Was it violent conduct for his red? Definitely going to get at least 2 extra games for a third red of the season if not more and deservedly so. See you in the new year!! Ffs what a liability
