Hopefully this result will help boost the attendance when we play Welling at home on Saturday.

Well done all.

For the first time in ages on terraces this was the old dartford, loud , proud , and full of humour . I love our players nobody who walks on the pitch I have EVER criticised, they wear the badge. Maybe I’m getting old and like the Catherine Tate Nan , I have no filter but Welling are dire. The ground , the stewards, the bar , the way they can’t deal with a crowd , the team who wouldn’t win a Sunday league , only thing they got better than us is a manager who clapped his fans while being shouted at . At home it’s a formality, we will stay up , but honestly without chin today , it would of been a dull 0/0

A rare away win! A scrappy win! Two very poor teams on show but the industry of Chinny and Luke just about saw us over the line. A win is a win, and so is a clean sheet, so let’s hopefully build on this.

We should win comfortably on Saturday. As others have said everything about Welling is very poor. As they’ve said on Twitter this was their (Wellings) biggest game of the season. We should treat every game as I our biggest from herein and see if we can sneak a play-off place. Tall order in my opinion!

A very good travelling contingent of Darts fans today too, swelled the crowd to over 2000. More of the same at PP on Saturday please?

Privately produced by one of our fans and he has sold so many already (+1 more) that he's gonna get extras printed at the ridiculously low price pf £7.99 ;)

Wonder who will be getting the deciding mug made after the 30th Dec?
Will it be DFC or THE MUGS FC ;)

Overall the game wasn't great and low on quality with misplaced passes and errors, thankfully mainly on their part. Not a surprise really as coming into this game both teams were low on confidence and struggling for form.
1st half The Mugs FC were the better side and had the lions share of possession but didn't make the most of it, we had a few chances from errors on their part but other than that not a great first 45 mins.
2nd half we played better and had more opportunities with quite a few coming from their poor defending and giving possession away so cheaply. It was like a second Christmas Day.
So over the 90 mins whilst they were the better side 1st half, we were quite a bit better than them 2nd half and with Chin in our ranks we were the only team likely to win.

Pitch looked really difficult to play on and heavy underfoot, maybe if they had a plastic one they would have won ;) ;)
Good travelling support from the Darts fans who were rewarded with the win.

Our squad is a real concern for me and looking very thin atm. As far as i can tell from the 36 players we have/had signed all we've got available atm is the 15 senior players from today plus the academy lads. Looks like Chins deal has been extended which is good news but for how long?? When asked Tyler said its down to Dowse to tell us but it would be nice if we knew??

MOTM easy decision form me - Richard Chin. Some moments of quality from him today and chipped in with the winner.

Anyone know the winning 50/50 number??
Couldn’t hear or understand one word announced over their ‘Marconi-esque’ PA system???

Taken from Welling United forum:

26th December ticket number 50313 wins £254

Good luck, that would have have bought you loads of Twix and Bovril at the tea bar yesterday. Your favourites.

Fantastic to get the result yesterday and I believe that mattered more than the performance.
I did fear for us the second half with them going down the slope but I don’t know what happened second half as we came out a different side, we even played some good football in parts.

I have said how I feel about Dowse and I’m a long way from changing my mind but if the results first and performance second improve then I could change my mind, but until the board make a decision one way or the other I feel we the supporters should just get behind the team just like we did yesterday. Good to see Dowse clap the support yesterday not sure if that was because he had to walk across the pitch to get off.

Funniest moment yesterday was Danny Bloor making his way back off the field and trying to gee the crowd up for more noise and he got what he asked for with a chorus of come on you Darts, his face was a picture.

The Board has made its decision. They gave Dowse a 2-year contract and are backing their man. I won’t criticise the Board as they’ve done so much good for the Club and I genuinely expect they want more from Dowse and the team on the pitch.
