FA statement today:
“Whilst the health & safety of participants & spectators at the National League System level is the responsibility of the clubs & their local authorities, we will now conduct an immediate review…that will focus on the safety of perimeter walls”.
So sad that such an incident should happen for the poor young player. Whilst it is right to do such a review and make all necessary changes for player safety etc, this could also place a burden of cost on clubs already struggling.
So very tragic. And so avoidable. But it’s not the first incident and it sadly won’t be the last. If the issue was taken seriously then all games would be suspended until we could be sure that it won’t happen again. Of course, that won’t happen. A token review and no change. They need to keep the riff-raff off the pitch so walls and barriers will remain. Someone could easily bang their head on a Princes Park barrier. At the very least the pitches should be made smaller to increase the gap. But won’t happen. RIP fella.

Whether you like the guy or not, you cannot criticise his passion for the job. Plus, he has also won trophies as a manager!

I would never criticise Rod Stringer's passion for football and the way things have been going for us at Dartford give him a chance at Princes park. Now that would be brave or desperate!

Cray winning tonight will be a tough game Saturday, Folkestone look favourites for the league I think this year currently 6-0 versus Lewes they seem to have built a very good team

Amazing turnaround at Fuckstone. Remember what a crock of shit they were with their anti-football cuntery at PP last season. I think they’ll walk this league this season.

Brentwood’s start has meant Folkestone have gone slightly unnoticed in the grand scheme, but they are now the only unbeaten side and I agree starting to look like favourites.
I think Brentwood’s form will continue to drop off and they will finish the season outside the top 5. Folkestone might be favourites but Chatham, Cray W and Dulwich won’t be far behind. I also this St Albans are picking up form (late equaliser tonight) and will be in the mix come April.
If our form continues (which I think/hope it will), that leaves six very good sides competing for top 5. My early guess is that Dulwich will miss out. Playoffs will be a dogfight (more so than playoffs usually are). Still early doors but that’s my prediction

Looking at how well Dover and Horsham are doing in the NLS (both top 10) it makes you realise how strong this league is, I think St Albans have found that out this season as quite a few of their fans pre-season were saying they will walk the league due to signing NL and NLS players and I think they might have realised it’s tougher than they expected.
Would expect Folkestone to win the league although this time last year nobody would have bet against Dover winning the title and agreed there are 4-6 teams who will be able to contest for play off spots.
I like the fact we are signing players from the likes of Bowers and Pitse who are shining since signing instead of signing a load of players from above for silly money, would be great to be part of the race for the title this year and our current unbeaten run seems to be picking up pace although we have a tough game Saturday.
