DFC Twitter said that Ben Allen came on as sub after Dsane scored, so I'll include him in the motm poll. :D

Interesting that Potters Bar are only a point behind Dover having picked up 3 wins out of 5. Would suggest the Dover result on the first day of the season was not a true reflection of Potters Bar's strength (or weakness) - also nice to be above Dover at this stage!! Cray Valley PM also going well despite losing to us on the first day of the season. It will be interesting to see what the league table looks like in 5 games time....

We look like a totally different team as soon as Samir takes to the field. Chatham were shit scared of him and he had a massive influence in our deserved victory after looking very ordinary, again, early on. Sam Edwardardour MOTM again.

Such a difference from what I saw last season. We actually looked like a TEAM! Went 1 down against the run of play but bounced back to equalise 3 mins in courtesy of my MOTM Sam Oduado. Callum Jones added a 2nd after 84 mins and Eddie Dsane rounded it off with a 90+6 min penalty. Att 1404 not too bad for BH. All in all a good day at the office.

What a good result and I am adding one more change to last seasons team we are much fitter as for the last 15 minutes Chatham were knackered and we took full advantage pressing home attack after attack resulting in the two goals to clinch the 3-1 win.
Well done to all the players especially Sam Odaudu my M.O.M.

We went in at half time a goal down but a perfect start to the second from Sammy.
The rest of the game was one way with Chatham looking second rate. Thoroughly deserved this win. All the team played well. You pick out 11 motm but for me it was Luther Williams. Cool as a cucumber 🥒. Excellent game.
Well done Ade and the boys.

What a match that was , we were superb today and fully deserved our win . It felt like we were being mugged at half time after going into the break 1-0 down . We had dominated but got caught out and Chatham took the lead . Unbelievably it could have been 2 but for a save from Kerbey .

Second half we got our equaliser from a 25 yard strike from Sam . We showed so much fight and took the lead with a smart finish from Callum smashing the ball off the underside of the bar woth 8 minutes to go . Eddie wrapped things up from the spot after being brought down .

The only downside today was yet more ridiculous officiating . The Chatham number 4 brought down Eddie which the whole ground saw apart from the ref . As he had already been booked he would have gone . And then the linesman giving Callum offside from a throw in .

Here are the goals , enjoy

Sam scores o 25 yards v Chatham

Callum scores Dartford’s 2nd v Chatham

Eddie Dsane scores Dartford’s 3rd from the spot after being brought down v Chatham

Great save from Matt late on first half which I felt would have a detrimental effect on the game.

A thoroughly deserved win and another good TEAM performance.

First half we played well and kept the ball better but just couldn't find the final pass to create a clear cut chance. Chatham took the lead against the run of play and but for a very good save form Kerbey later on we could have gone in at HT 0-2 down, which would have been a travesty.

Second half we got the deserved equaliser early on with a good strike from Sam and two further goals from Callum & Eddie gave the scoreline a true reflection of the game. We looked well organised and limited Chatham to very few chances and just had too much for them on the day. The goals came late as we just kept going and going until we deservedly broke them down, they looked a tired side at the end.

It's been mentioned many times already but still worth praising the players as they all look very fit and even in today's very hot conditions, were still full of running right until the final whistle. This IMO played a big part in our victory today and has been the case all season.

A very good b/h weekend and nice to see Samir getting some more minutes. I don't think Ady will take any unnecessary chances and rush him back too quick as i feel he will have a big part to play this season.

MOTM for me was between Josh and Sam.O, Josh just getting it for me with another "Captains" performance.

Also a mention for the great support today as after going a goal down, the fans really got behind the players and played their part.

Ben Allen did come on for Eddie Dsane straight after the penalty.

Physical opponents appeared to knock us off our stride in the first half when we registered just one blocked shot. The ref waived a few yellows, but that did not change the Chatham game plan. Dartford began to create chances in the second half after a great long range goal from Sam that most keepers would have expected to stop. Chatham had chased hard early in the game and they began to run out of steam late on. Dartford pressed on and were rewarded with the deserved victory.

Dartford are still surrendering posession too easily, but there is a strong team spirit and a determination about this squad. I am looking forward to watching them develop over the season.

I like what I'm hearing!!

Listened to most of the commentary but was out of it for a while, so missed Chatham's opening goal and tuned in just as Oduadu scored the equaliser.

The Darts seemed to get stronger as the game went on, and not for the first time this season either. So yes, we do seem to be in a far fitter condition than we were last season, as a few posters have already stated. Keep it up Darts!.

Just hoping we can continue the run next Saturday in the FA Cup as it seems a long time since we had any success in this competition and can start a run.

Dartford 3 Chatham Town 1: Isthmian Premier Division match report from Princes Park

Dartford came from behind to beat Chatham Town in the derby match at Princes Park on Monday.

Jamie Yila put Chatham ahead and only a good save from keeper Matt Kerbey denied him a second at the end of the opening half. Sam Odaudu struck well to level it up shortly after the restart and Jones’ late goal turned it around. Eddie Dsane scored a stoppage-time penalty to seal the victory for Ady Pennock’s side.

This was the first league meeting between the sides in 17 years, meeting for the Bank Holiday fixture at Princes Park.

Dartford were unchanged from the team which had beaten Carshalton Athletic 1-0 on the Saturday.

Chats were looking to build on back-to-back wins in the league, defeating Dulwich Hamlet 3-1 just two days earlier.

The visitors looked to make an early impact, with the pace of Khale Da Costa, but Dartford posed a threat from set-pieces with a flurry of early chances to put the ball in the box from around the area.

Christian Tyler-Law went close with a deflected effort and Jack Evans needed to block shots from Olly Box and Denzelle Olopade.

Sam Sene-Richardson was picked to start for Chatham in behind striker Brad Sach and he almost put the front-man in on goal with a delightful ball over the defender, only for the linesman’s flag to be raised.

Chatham broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute. Sach flicked the ball on for Yila to chase and he stayed on his feet in the box before picking his spot low beyond the keeper into the far corner.

Yila could have had a second shortly before the break when Sene-Richardson played him in but this time Kerbey saved well with a low effort.

It was one apiece early in the second half, just three minutes after the restart. Referee Will Briers ignored calls for handball against Dartford and when the ball broke for left-back Odaudu, he found the bottom corner with a sweet strike from 25 yards.

The impressive Sene-Richardson was denied by Darts keeper Kerbey with an hour gone, saving with his feet at his near post. It was an attack that came from substitute Kofi Anokye Boadi after he won possession inside the Dartford half.

Jeremiah Pinder put one shot into the Chatham keeper’s arms and fired another over the bar.

The match definitely had a derby feel to it, with plenty of commitment from both sides, keeping the officials on their toes. Chats manager Kevin Hake was one of several cautions issued for dissent.

Dartford went ahead in the 84th minute through Jones, firing into the roof of the net after they had been unable to clear their lines.

Yila headed over from a corner for Chats late on but the visitors were unable to get themselves back into the match. Max Statham came even closer to an equaliser in stoppage-time with a shot that narrowly went wide.

Dsane fired in a penalty for Dartford to make it 3-1 after he had been fouled in the box by Charlie Naylor.
