Certainly no nonsense talking from Roland.
The A299 had had contraflow for almost 10 weeks and they were so proud to let everyone know that they had finished the work early. About a week after opening it up something happened in the tunnel between the Whitstable turn off and Herne Bay causing some cladding of sorts to collapse.
Now they have contraflow at the tunnel.
As for the works on the M2 at Faversham, that has been there since January/February. Then of course you had the Sittingbourne closures at the A249 for the Stockbury roundabout before and after Christmas.
They are now talking of closure of the A251 from Faversham to Ashford for the next two months .
I didn't need the Dowson nightmare to think about whether I wanted to come up for a game or not although it helped. Often on the M2 alone traffic would come to a standstill and on one occasion alone I sat for 2 hours after a 7 car pile up. So instead of coming to a game I thought I may as well turn round and go home, only I couldn't do that because of the 249 closure and to drive to Gillingham.
Can't wait for the first home game only for me I don't know when that will be, whether I venture out onto the roads or not. Hey ho.
