We you see things like this (the banner above) it epitomises the recognition and quality of respect the women's team (DWFC) receives from their dedicated supporters.
Unfortunately, indifferent attitudes towards them still prevail from within the club (DFC).
And looking at the photo of their banner, all that's missing from yesterday is the giant padlock on the gate below.
These players work their socks off, giving their all leaving everything out on the pitch (when they can get on it).
They thoroughly deserve our support 100%+. In return they give us what we deserve, with interest, through their performances on the field.
And although we deserve that, I'm afraid there appears to be elements within DFC who don't.

Hope the High Atlas Mount beneath the DFC Women flag turns greener and not a new tectonic plate that can rumble on and divide a historical club but pull it away from a struggling, self - centred, men only, Afghani model of administration, with its amateurish, self - proclaimed, inward - looking regime.

Should/When the Dartford FC Women win promotion to the National League of Women's football at Tier 4 (A stated Dartford FC 5-year plan aim), then the club would need to become very pro-active towards the Dartford FC Women's team and management.

The Women's budget would need to be significantly increased to compete in a fast-growing 'industry' - Successful promotion winning sides from Tier 5 have had massive cash injection from their parent clubs and a budget to match the requirements of being a National, Tier 4 side - and then retaining that position. Is that really possible with a club that deters financial investment within it's own well-meaning (in 1992), but out-dated constitution?

This isn't just me being negative against-our-Board post, but is about the sheer realities of life in 2025 and beyond. In the men's game we have been overtaken by so many clubs just in Kent alone. Why is that?

Cash injection is imperative if we want Dartford FC men's team back on the 'National' footballing map, and really mean it when including the DFC Women in its plans for the future. The National league on both fronts should be the club's aim but is it achievable without massive fund investment?
Over to you.
