In the second half the 16 and 25 were both excellent. The 9 could not do much against two big and fast defenders, but he kept pressing and never stopped moving. Classic centre forward and I hope he is the fella we signed from another Kent club. If so he will get a lot of goals this season.
Olly was absolutely brilliant and Dean Nayler was great and is a good shout for starting games this season

He did look as though he’d slimmed down quite a bit from when I last saw him in a DFC shirt.

Probably had to lose weight for when he appeared on Love Island last year.

Our No 9 Rambo was our new forward we signed from Folkestone Invicta Dan Smith.

Thanks 5th , I liked him a lot
Any idea who 16 and 25 were. They were very good especially 16 , very gutsy and committed. He matched the Charlton pros easily

Sorry not off the top of my head (was manic today) but I know the £180 was claimed. The golden goal was also claimed.

Sorry Rambo no idea on the 16 just listed as trialist but 25 I’m guessing was possibly an academy player as he was named on the team sheet surname of Campbell. Hopefully someone else may know a bit more.

Apart from that I can’t help mate.

A really good day out. Well done to everyone for putting that on. Darts looked good. Fitter? Great banter in the crowd. A decent game. Only downside was our fkin mindless child idiots who don’t realise their selfishness will cost Dartford FC £££’s. Having said that, the stewards were absolutely useless and just let them take the piss.

Gabe Campbell was part of our squad last season. He didn't appear that much in the league matches, only a few sub appearances, but he did feature in a few cup ties and had a couple of loan spells if I remember correctly. I think that he joined Dartford on the recommendation of Samir Carruthers who spotted him at a coaching school that he runs in London.

A very good game today we looked decent both half’s, and some of the trialists looked good as well, I know it’s very early days but if today is anything to go by then it bodes well for a good season.

I’ve got a lot of time and respect for Charlton as they always give us full respect and bring a strong side down for these friendlies and always bring a lot of fans along as well which is fantastic for us and our coffers and they always try and play on the deck football rather than lump it.

I stood chatting to a couple of Charlton fans and was behind our keeper in the 2nd half, their fans seemed a real decent bunch and really got behind their team BUT just after we changed keepers some of their fans changed and gave our Young keeper a lot of stick with some of their fans throwing bottles on the pitch, not 1 or 2 but at least 8 - 10 bottles thrown either at our young keeper or just thrown on the pitch.
Most were standard size bottles of water but one idiotic prick decided to throw a 2ltr bottle on the pitch, thankfully only 1/4 full at best.
Both myself and another guy spoke to the steward outside of Skinners Bar about the situation and he picked up his radio then didn’t speak and put it down 🤷‍♂️. The stewarding is an absolute joke, they seemed more interested in Our fans than Charltons.

I cannot understand why people throw bottles of the world's most important commodity anywhere. The next thing is they'll be moaning about their water bill.
The next world war will probably be about water.
Lord, help us.
Still, at least we had a good 90 minutes.

Good workout yesterday and acquitted ourselves against higher-ranked opposition. Some of our players looking sharp already that’s good to see and a credit to the work the management team have done so far.

Agree with comments made before about the young cretins that call themselves Dartford fans that, frankly, caused a nuisance of themselves during the second half. Behave yerself lads or 1. you’ll get thrown out and possibly even barred from the ground, 2. Get the club into bother and nobody wants that, 3. Get a clip round yer ‘earhole, or 4. All of the above. Bloody sort yer send out!

On the pitch all seems to bode well so far. More of the same please lads and let’s hit the ground running come the season-opener!

"Darts lose to Charlton in front of big crowd"

A bumper crowd watched Dartford get their pre-season schedule under way at Princes Park on Saturday.

Dartford 2 Charlton Athletic 3: Pre-season friendly watched by a crowd of 3,584 at Princes Park

A bumper crowd watched Dartford get their pre-season schedule under way at Princes Park on Saturday.

Championship side Charlton ran out narrow winners in the end but more than 3,500 saw an entertaining game in the summer sunshine.

Despite a bright start from the Darts, Charlton took the lead after six minutes when Henry Rylah exchanged passes down the right wing before crossing into the near post. Daniel Kanu’s initial attempt was blocked by Luther Williams but the striker blasted the rebound high into the roof of the net.

It took just four minutes for Dartford to be back on level terms. Sam Odaudu’s long throw was only cleared as far as Ben Frempah and, after his initial shot was parried by Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Callum Jones turned in the rebound.

Charlton restored their advantage from the penalty spot after 25 minutes. Referee Ben McDonald generously pointed to the spot after the grounded Michael Olarewaju’s clearance hit fellow defender George Whitefield on the arm. Greg Docherty stepped up to send keeper Jonny Henly the wrong way.

Charlton looked to turn up the heat in already sweltering conditions, Henry Rylah and Tyreece Campbell both going close while Henly did brilliantly to deny Kanu from close range.

Dartford equalised 10 minutes before the break when Eddie Dsane was pulled back in the box and Samir Carruthers’ cheeky panenka penalty made it 2-2.

Both keepers remained for the start of the second half but every outfield player was changed. The game didn’t have the same intensity as the first 45 minutes, nor the same goalmouth action.

The Darts fielded several trialists after the break, including defender Ronnie Vint. He previously spent nine years at the club and has more than 200 Dartford appearances to his name.

Just past the hour mark, we saw the new ‘eight-second’ rule for goalkeepers implemented for the first time. Darts keeper Henly failed to release the ball quickly enough, and the referee awarded a corner to Charlton.

With 11 minutes left, Olly Box drove forward for Dartford but his low left-foot shot lacked enough power to trouble keeper Tommy Reid.

Charlton went ahead on 84 minutes when Micah Mbick scored at the near post just minutes after his introduction from the bench.

Dartford’s next pre-season friendly is at home to National League South Eastbourne next Saturday.

Dartford: Henley, Frempah, Williams, Olarewaju, Whitefield, Olopade, McLeod, Odaudu, Carruthers, Jones, Dsane. Subs: Nayler, Taylor, Eze, Pinder, Box, Smith, Campbell, Olenga, Atkins, O’Mara-Knapp, Trialist A, Trialist B, Trialist C, Trialist D.

Charlton: Maynard-Brewer, Ramsey, Gillespie, Jones, Coventry, Campbell, Docherty, Dixon, Edwards, Rylah, Kanu. Subs: Reid, A Mitchell, Mbick, Enslin, Carey, Gough, Anderson, Asiimwe, Z Mitchell, Olaofe, Burke, Fullah, Mwamba.

Referee: Ben McDonald.

Attendance: 3,584.

Obviously early days and friendlies are not a good benchmark but it was a very encouraging performance with all the new additions making impressive starts. A couple of the trialists also did well so a very good start.

I believe the left wing back second half was Nathan Green.

On the pitch very happy so far but I'm afraid as already mentioned the small group of youngsters behind the goal are AGAIN causing problems.
The stewards shouldn't have to put up with some of the behaviour form these idiots but they looked out of their depth in dealing with the same issues. The club need to get this sorted asap and I have previously suggested how i feel they could deal with this but........

I heard the guy who I guess was in charge of the stewards complaining that they had been sent a lot of new people who had not been trained. He was not happy.

Is that the Nathan Green that
played for us some years ago.
For me he did enough for serious consideration, you can’t have too many good players in a squad
