Thats good news as he went missing in midfield last season when you would have expected a so called senior player to step up and become a leader when things got tough , he didnt and could really be bothered and couldnt tackle a rice pudding , One Forum MOTM and only 30 votes ALL season , BI Bi Jordan !!!!

Just another couple to go and Ade can start with a clean sheet ????????

Actually I'm a tad disappointed that Jordan has gone.
Okay, it wasn't his best season for the Dart's but he was a loyal Dart.
Good luck to the lad wherever he goes but I don't think he'll be thinking NLS.

Of all the non loan players from last season I only wanted wynter to stay. He chose to leave so like the rest of them he can go do one. All the players that have left now have a relegation on their cv , who is silly enough to take them on
Looking forward to hear who we sign. Hopefully Ade has a better functioning brain than Dowson and finds some players with heart effort and will to win in their character.

In no shape or form can I see us making a swift return to the National South.
But if it means the manager is given the time to build a team in the mould of Bradbrook, Burns, Harris and Noble etc then the best things are worth waiting for.

It will not be easy Ajax , as clearly if we start the season with only two players we won’t do very well but until we have a squad and assess the abilities of the players there is absolutely no point in saying we will probably not make a swift return

As much as I liked Jordan, who in my opinion was a loyal Dartford player, I did feel he had lost some pace last season. Whether that was due to being unfit or the fact that midfield was totally 'missing' in a lot of games, who knows?
I am not worried by the lack of activity in signing players yet even though it has been so long since the end of the season ;)
One would like to think Ade is being pro-active.

I’m disappointed with both of these departures, I think they both should’ve stayed to try and put things right but I also understand the ambitions from both players.

We might have to change how we do recruitment. Potentially delving into the leagues below which are full of quality but a route we just haven’t utilised very well over the past few seasons.

I have to agree Ozy. During the second half of the season, Wynts was not alone in looking ineffective and disinterested. He looked like he really didn't want to be here, so probably best for both parties that he has decided to move on.

Wynter [ like others] want disinterested enough to turn up to pick up his pay packet , he [ on paper] was a senior player and bottled it as for loyalty dont be respectful to players like Bradbrook, Hayes, Noble and many others !!!!!!!!!

Forget the shower from last season and hope Ade recruits well for this season

Ronnie Nelson did great for us and as a loanee played 100% for us and was a real credit as well as being a very good player , I hope he gets a deal at a NLP Club and develops into a English League Football regular

He would be crazy to come to the Darts !!!!!!!!!

Well at least Wynts didn't go scuttling off without a word Duke. After last season he probably thought he could do with some fresh air.
He had the decency to to say he was off.
Probably end up at Chatham.
And yes, Ronnie at Dartford next season!! Forget it.

Lars , You are entitled to you opinion just that I dont agree with it, no further comments from me on Wynter as I am now only interested in the future players coming to the Darts !!!

I have been off the forum for a bit, having been so so disappointed at our relegation, as I could, sadly, see it coming. I then wanted to see the retained list, as I don't like criticising players during the season at a time we were needing to give encouragement to players.

I was never comfortable when Dowson was so often saying we are only 7 points off the playoff positions. What he never seemed to do was to look behind and seeing we were only 7 points or so away from the relegation zone too. I did comment on the seeming lack of fitness in the squad as the season went on. Very poor recruitment by Dowson. I did also comment on the hoofball that was evident during Dowson's time. But when you see a team entering a downward spiral, it is very difficult to stop. Seen it with Tranmere. Up challenging, punching above their weight, in the old 2nd division, then gradually sliding down through the divisions and into the Conference for too many seasons. Many other clubs like it too!

This has been the first time in over 65 years of supporting the Darts that I have seen the team relegated from the Conference South/Southern League structure.
Yes, I have seen the team relegated from Conference to Conference South, or Southern League Premier to Southern League South Eastern. But very often, quickly promoted. We have been a yoyo club. But never lower on a results basis, only lower, when restarting after the Maidstone and Watling Street debacle.

But coming back to players, Duke, you are so right. Too many senior players underachieving and failing to take responsibility. Furthermore, no heart in the side, and way off what Darts fans expect. Tony Burman got the players back to playing football, but he and Ade could only work with what they had. So I am glad the majority of the players who have gone have done so. Would like to think Shomotun signed on, having come from Sevenoak FC and knows that level and I thought did well for the Darts in an attacking role, although he needs to tidy up on not losing the ball in midfield (do-able).

Had we retained our Conference place, I would have thought Nelson would have been a good addition to have, now he has left Colchester. But it won't happen with us now in the Isthmian.

Meanwhile, pleased Ade has signed the Academy guys.
I have already said I will continue my kit sponsorship of Olly Box next season. Will also be buying my season ticket again this week. It's not going to be an easy task to regain our place in the Conference South, because as we saw last season with Cray Valley Paper Mills in the FA Cup on tv, there are teams playing a lot of good football i
the Isthmian Premier. Just need to make sure we are one of those teams next season. Believe me, teams will be coming to Dartford and raising their game with our facilities.

To Ade, very best wishes as you undertake the recruitment.

COYD

Friends who support Yeovil were saying that Ronnie Nelson is the type of player they need for next season in the National League - they were that impressed with his performance on the day we were relegated!

Looks like we will be seeing many new faces, after last season that is probably best for all concerned. If we hear the B word mentioned anytime soon I will start to worry, otherwise it's just a case of wait and see... But hopefully some local talent out there, that it will mean something to them to play for the team.
