Spot on 5th, i couldn't believe or understand why they did that, especially the steward.
Really poor show from them which reflects on the whole club, shame as both sets of supporters got on well all day and the staff at Sudbury were very good.

Couldn’t make the game yesterday and am disappointed as everyone is about the result. My comments are based on the live commentary (excellent as always when it didn’t drop out, as well as Chris Palmers excellent match report.

Yes, on paper, we should have beaten a team 2 levels below but, without looking for excuses, these games are one-off’s. It seems they had the 2nd gear that Hungerford didn’t have last weekend. They sat back first half and soaked up what we had to throw at them. From the commentary in that first half most of our crosses were over hit, and wasted. Great time to score though.

It was pretty obvious they’d have a go in the 2nd half, and they did. It seems we weren’t prepared for that.

That “meaningless friendly” on Tuesday is now important if only to get confidence back amongst the ranks. Good time now also to prepare for Chelmsford Monday week.

Question - is Kieron Murtagh injured? Surprised he didn’t at least feature yesterday.

Keep the faith Darts fans. Plenty more to excite us this season.

Several people said that the main culprit spat at the Dartford fans which is why it really escalated

Day after the game, still really perplexed about the result, what happened? Will look forward to the gaffers interview, but we have wasted a golden opportunity in the Fa Cup, said too many times now, it hurts. Disappointed.

Bit of a surprise that our first loss of the season would be against a step 4 club. The only question I have is - would we have lost without the red card? We have been reasonably lucky with injuries so far this season, so SK has been able to line the team up more or less as he wants. Yesterday is one of the first instances whereby he has had to react and it hasn’t ended well.

Still, as others have pointed out - sending off aside, it’s the magic of the FA cup and would be pointless if giant killings were impossible. Just feels like we’re overdue our turn.

I’ll ask again. Why didn’t Murtagh play, anybody know??

He was named as a sub yesterday but as to why he didn’t play then I’m afraid the only person who can answer that question is Steve King as he makes the decisions.

Can’t think of what to say about the loss yesterday , still trying to get my head around it 🤔 , what I would say though is why there were only six minutes injury time ? The amount of time some of their players spent on the floor feigning injury would of embarrassed even the Hungerford team ? The referee was Sunday league at best , easily conned into giving bookings and constant stopping of the game , that said this was not the reason we lost and this was no way an excuse for our poor performance ; on any other day we would be beating these no problems , but good luck to Sudbury , they did a job on us and got the win . Like everyone else it seems a really good opportunity gone begging and the sense of disappointment is huge .

On one of the Kent Online interviews last week, it mentioned that Murtagh had been concussed. Can only assume that was the reason

Colchester are not in a good way at the moment and are struggling near the bottom of League 2.
Would’ve been a very good opportunity for us to advance, not now though 🤦‍♂️.

Time to draw a line under it , dont want to hear a load of excuses eg crap ref , Bonner unfair red card , Sudbury time wasting etc as no point in beating ourselves up as we LOST , the important thing is that the team are up for the Chelmsford game on Monday night 25th October , traditionally a tough fixture and would be great to go there and get 3pts

Hopefully Kingy keeps his post match comments very brief and gets his true feelings through to the team within the 4 walls !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sudbury are the lowest ranked team left in the cup.

Although we had plenty of possession all game we didn't seem to move the ball as quickly as our previous games and unusually made a few wayward passes/crosses.
Really disappointed we never progressed but to get things into perspective we are in the middle of October and it's our first defeat of the season, probably more annoying though because it's a game 9 times out of 10 i feel we would win and not where i thought our unbeaten record would go.
I'm sure the players are hurting as much as us and looking to get back on track at Chelmsford where it will be good if we travel in large numbers again and continue to show our support. I thought we probably had around half the crowd yesterday which was very good.

Not as many candidates for MOTM this week but for me it was between Noor and Jernade, with Jernade just edging it.

Looking forward to Steve's post match interview as they are always informative and honest, will be very interested to hear his thoughts on the game.

I'll be at Brentwood Tuesday as it's an important game for some players to get much needed minutes.

Reading this and the NLP it sounds as if we were fairly beaten. Never mind the shernanighans after. What annoys me most is the ability Tom has of getting bookings.
I'm sure that King will give them a hard time.
We are not unbeatable and I'm sure we will have a response from the team in the next game.
Shame as I feel we would/could have beaten Colchester. :)

We lost because the team lost their discipline . First half we dominated the game and were in complete control . Second half there was a lack of concentration that cost us their equaliser ,and after Toms sending off ; and us not clearing our lines for their second , our fate was sealed .
I think SK would more or less say the same in his interview ?
