Due to train strike , will be 96 bus job . Does anyone know if the Roadworks are still there in Crayford ?
Removed last night.
Probably be back by Thursday though.
A poster on another thread described Cheshunt as "whipping boys" which is both disrespectful and foolhardy in my opinion. I'm sure our management team will be professional in their approach to this and every game. Cheshunt were 0-2 down with 15 mins to play on Saturday against Hampton & Richmond, so the 3-2 win is especially impressive and deserves respect. Their confidence will be high after that amazing comeback so I'm expecting a real scrap. Also, I'm sure Dajon Golding will be up for a game against his old club. I see Dajon was named in the "Team of the Day" alongside Pierre Fonkou.
Take any game in this league lightly and you'll get done.
It was a shame about Dajon Golding as he was certainly one of the "starlets " in the Academy and in the very few 1st team games[ mainly Cup I think ?] he played he looked a great prospect , I think he got some bad advice and became impatent and went to pastures anew where he never really lifted of, albeit a good Isthmain Premier level player , interesting that Worthing let him go now they are in the NLS , on his day he is a class act so I agree we would do well respect him !!!!!
Cheshunt will also feature former Darts keeper Preston Edwards (although he never made an appearance) and former loanee Rowan Liburd in their side. Liburd failed to score in the 3 games that he played for the Darts whilst on loan from Hereford but since joining Cheshunt he has scored 20 goals in 32 matches (according to Wikipedia).
Any team taking Cheshunt as a cert is deluded.
I was quite looking forward to the game as it, not only being the first home game of the season, (normally a done thing with me) and against fresh blood in the Division but also under new management. But unfortunately I won't be traveling up in the heat. So will now wait for Tuesday's game against H&W.
I hope the lads get a win Saturday and good luck to them and hope for you all, it's a good game.

Tough game to call this one, first goal will be vital particularly with both teams opening with wins in the first day. Think it will be a very cagey game but hoping we get the win.
I would go for a narrow 1 - 0 win for DFC with Davide scoring the winner !
The heat’s not for everyone (especially sweaty lardsters like myself), but with Cheshunt playing at their highest ever level it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a couple of hundred come to PP today.
I really hope the bars are well staffed and run to their maximum efficiency. Stick some decent fans on for the staff and sort out ready pours for half-time.
Be interesting to see if AD puts out the same side from last weekend (injury aside), will Fonkeu prove to be a stellar signing home and away? Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to today, hopefully the heat doesn't put too many off and we get a good crowd.
On the subject of the weather are we allowed to being our own water into the ground?
I expect the official line is that it needs to be in an unbroken-sealed bottle, would be extremely draconian to not allow this at least, given the conditions..
