So did I. Just about sums this season up doesn’t it. Shit results against the bottom teams. Oh well. It’s over. Manager’s gone. Assign it all to memory bin and start again with a manager who knows how to fight.

Predictable finish to a dreadful season. We were a yard off the pace, won very few challenges, and got sweet FA from the officials. Cray wanted possession more than us, they created more direct shooting chances and they deserved their win. I do not think that too many fans will be sad that this period of our club history is now officially over.

Hoping for some early positive news regarding the managerial appointment and then hopefully some decent summer signings.

Congratulations to the champions Folkestone and good luck to Aveley, the runners-up. Hopefully the ridiculous play-off debacle will be kind to them.

See you all at the Fun Day.

It was the sort of game i half expected and the reason I am 100% in favour of the play offs (albeit they need tweaking).
Back in the pre play off days you had about a dozen games like this towards the end of the season when it was clear you weren't going up or down.

I'm looking forward to next season more now than I was before Thursday evening 😉😉

An absolute crock of shit again today, we had absolutely nothing to play for so just treated it more like a training game the way we casually knocked the ball around and made some piss poor passes. It looked as though most of the players couldn’t give a shit.

Cray obviously still had something to possibly play for but to be honest they was one of the worst teams I’ve seen us play at PP all season and we lost to them, that just about sums our side up this season.

Ady has now gone so I honestly hope that the likes of Eddie DSane, George Whitefield, Olly Box, Dan Smith etc look to stay with the club now along with Evan Kouasi (however it’s spelt 😁) as I think from the few games he’s played on the wing he looks a quality dangerous player.

I’m sure that if it’s true that Ady is going to manage Ramsgate next season then we all know who Callum Jones will be playing for as he seems to be Ady’s golden boy.

I hope the board can make the right appointment this time and make a very early announcement so that the new manager can start talking to the current players straight away and deciding on who he wants to keep. It also gives him plenty of time to make new signings as well.

I will await the announcement with bated breath but whatever happens the board MUST either bring in a lot more finances or allow somebody on the board to put a lot more finances into the club. Not only our club but especially the board are a complete mess.

The best team won, they wanted it more.
Hopefully a New manager will get us promoted.

Best part of today was that a mate who’s been absent for a couple of months due to surgery, came back to witness the usual dross (v bottom four opposition) but won £50 on the Warbler (as, weirdly coincidentally, so did I) but also won the 50/50 draw. Nice ending to the season! Cheers. 🍻

End of season dross.
Glad it's over and although I have nothing against Ade, I honestly don't think he will be any loss as far as moving the Darts forward is concerned.

IMHO DFC are just jogging along and without more investment we will probably remain in this ryman league for the foreseeable future.

Agree. Since TB, we’ve had the good, the bad & the ugly (you decide), Pennock must surely rank as straight down the middle - not his fault that we fell from step 2 to step 3; nearly got us straight back up but this season has been bang average, mediocre, unremarkable etc.
Bobbins with a capital meh.

Under our model it’s understandable it’s not easy to get out of any league.
While I’m not a fan of AP, I’m glad he’s gone, but he obviously has to work within a a lesser budget being in a lower division.

The biggest failure is how we got to this division in the first place. Completely incompetent decision making at the top had a huge effect on us getting relegated from the south. We’re now stuck here going nowhere and the biggest reason for this is the board.

Glad the season is over another poor performance with our players more interested in passing a coin between each other, with the player left holding the coin at FT having to do a forfeit.

Whatever you think of Ade, he is a genuinely nice guy. Good luck to him for the future.
And good luck to us too. Whatever.
