82 was it? Wow. Thought it was much earlier. I had left ‘home’ by then, but my Mum deffo heard Motörhead from not far away. Long before sound limitations.Johndfc2 wrote: Thu Mar 26, 2026 5:24 pm Yes, I actually went to Port Vale for the terribly named”Heavy Metal Holocaust” in 1982.Great day

Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere, it’s Non League day tomorrow isn’t it? Are we doing anything?
Edit. Seen it now.

Yes it is, the club have mentioned it and have reduced prices. I only found out because I read your post and checked the details. None of my neighbours knew this and we lives literally a stones throw from the town centre. We’re in the town centre most days. The club are doing well with lowering prices for the day and some bits for charity, but how far the message has got around the community I’m not sure.
Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
So we're up against a team whose players have been battling against relegation, blissfully unaware that relegation was their club's objective. Having formally requested to get relegated anyway, the club are apparently seeking to make it even more official by securing an official relegation spot as they are now holding a public jumble sale to get rid of all their best players. In my mind this sort of nonsense completely undermines the integrity of football at this level and trying to camouflage this as a "REVOLUTION" rather than a relegation is management style, pseudo-speak, cobblers. It reminds me of when my former boss kept talking about the "downsizing exercise" rather than the "chucking people out exercise" as I insisted on calling it myself.
They are near the bottom anyway, they want to go down and they are off-loading all their best players ... given our form against the lower sides, we'll probably come a cropper tomorrow.

Incredibly the club still only uses its own social media to share information. I’ve rarely, if ever, seen the club use the many Dartford or even non league football facebook, Twitter, instagram groups to spread the message. Word of mouth really isn’t enough these days unless of course the club wants to remain an irrelevance outside of the thousand or so that turn up each week?KentC wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2026 12:28 pmSleightly Deceptive wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2026 8:34 am Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere, it’s Non League day tomorrow isn’t it? The club did not even bother to mention it on the official website until this morning. Nothing changes......
Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
There would be a reason why and there would be no acknowledgment that as a club we could do better reaching out to our community. I have volunteered in the past and it’s been a complete waste of time.
Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
They’ve just signed a forward from Maldon and Tiptree. Nothing to worry about though as he hardly ever played in the 3 months at Maldon. His previous club was Haringey in step 5 football. I dispise made up clubs like this. No ground, no history, no point. The sooner it is despatched back to whence it came from, the better. Perhaps the whispered merger with next season’s ground share club, Redbridge, might actually make them relevant.Spike wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2026 2:29 pm So we're up against a team whose players have been battling against relegation, blissfully unaware that relegation was their club's objective. Unless there have been players leaving because of the stance Hashtag have taken up on their league status, or new players coming in to the club, I would tend to think them as a 'wounded animal '.
We still need to take them seriously.
Let's hope for 3 points.

Absolutely! Especially given our propensity to massively f*ck up against lower opposition.
Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
I went online, kept getting kicked out. Finally reset my password again. Only for time to run out and miss the 12pm deadline. I’m not a tech genius but I work for a tech company so it’s ABC to me. Missed out by 2 mins because of how long it took. When first clicked on it , it was £10, by time I finished resetting my details it was £15. Annoying.

Quite brave to have 3 strikers on the bench yet no midfielders

I was thinking the same but he has the option of Luther going LB and Sam CM.WillDfc42 wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 2:16 pm Quite brave to have 3 strikers on the bench yet no midfielders
I would guess Mcleod will be disappointed though and not sure if Bland is back yet?
Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
Looks as though # have signed former Dart Nelson Eze on loan.

1 nil Pinder.
Headed off our line and then we break and score.
