Marsden is an absolute joke of a keeper, should be the first one out of the door this summer.

From our starting position on closure of last season Ade built a squad from nothing. The first few weeks were painful but once Ade decided who would start and who would be in the bench our results and performances were remarkable.
For the last month of the season we were carrying too many injuries and the performances tailed off a bit but that us what happens when you have a fairly small squad
The club finally learned the importance of getting people in the ground particularly the young and to get them spending on food and drink. That bodes well for the future

As for today’s game it was not a classic and there was not much between the two sides. Whoever scored first was always the winner but sadly we did not create enough chances to win the game

Roll on next season

Gutted.
Don’t know where to start really, pointless picking at the performance as that won’t change anything.
Wouldn’t begrudge any of the academy lads looking for a full time move somewhere.
Having watched Pennocks interview it raises a few questions as to whether he will be here next season too.
All in all I think we have to take the positives from the season but also question as to whether we should have achieved more.
Enjoy your summers, we go again.

Sadly I don’t feel the same … we should never have relegated last season and to fail to come straight back up is ……….being honest …..is very poor. We are Dartford FC remember I may feel better tomorrow but now I feel sick. Totally sick
Paul, we’re all very disappointed, but that my friend is the sort of arrogance we are accused of by other clubs. We are where we are, with no given right to success. We have to work hard to achieve it. This season, compared with last season, is as different as chalk and cheese. I’m sure we’ll all get over this come the start of next season.

I know you’re speaking sense Tony ….. just feel so disappointed …… I have a mate …Sheff Utd fan…. They have lost 9 in9 play off games etc and he is dreading their semi coming up …… I just fear the losing mentality will becoming stained in our club too……. Anyway, gonna be a long summer

Looking at the season as a whole, looking back at the results I don’t think early season was as disastrous as it seemed at the time. We were on a downer so losing our first home game set a tone even though we won three games in August. September saw us lose heavily at Douvres and Billericay, and that’s probably what makes it a bad period, as well as losing in two cups. Then in Oct we lost at home to Bowers& Pitsea. The season could potentially have become disastrous from there, but at the time it felt worse than it was. The fact that we subsequently went 20-odd games without defeat, with the last 10 of those being wins, yet still only finished third shows how competitive it is. And it’s one of the reasons that when people say “we go again” I feel they are trivialising things. There is no evidence that we can “go again”. Anyway, that 11th match, at Cheshunt, ended 0-3. That is when things began going wrong. We have no divine right to keep winning, but the reaction was “oh well, move on, go again next week”. We lost our next away match at Lewis. If either of those had been wins we’d now be back in the NLS. But it doesn’t matter, we go again. I think we just run out of a bit of steam. And a settled side, that was a strength, became tired.

Looking forwards, we don’t know which players we will have next season. So it is not a case of it being like this season but a bit better. I hope Ollie Box stays, but he and the club need to work out how to deal with being targeted. If they don’t then we won’t get the same contribution. Will Samir be here? And Hayden Bullas won’t be. So the point is, a lot of work potentially needs doing just to keep us near the top let alone gain us promotion. We can’t just “go again”.

Second out of the door. YOU should be the first. f*ck off somewhere else. And when you get there, f*ck off from there too.
I pay my money I am entitled to my opinion.
We’re not really interested in your opinion
The difference between Mark and the rest of us is that he never ever has anything positive to say - and his criticism is jist bile, never constructive

To be honest MS , the level of football , tactically and skilfully has vastly improved compared to when we were last in this league under TB ; Carshalton playing us off the park was a perfect example .We are where we are because of the Clown from Toon ,and I fear we may just have to punch a little higher next season .

We were good enough to beat Dover, it was just on the day we didn't perform. We didn't threaten them at all.

Even though we lost, my round trip from Staffordshire was worth it, as I got see all the lads!

We fell short on the day, as gutting as it is, I like many others wish to thank Ade for his efforts this season, rebuilding the squad to put us in a position to have a chance of promotion. Fair play to Dover, hoping we get the gig next season.
Big summer ahead for the club, for us 'to go again' will need as much playing budget as possible, success don't come cheap does it.
Match day experience is excellent, by the way, hats off for that.

Interesting interview with Ade though, he not exactly painting a picture of confidence for off season/next season is he?

Have a good summer all.

On a different note; The Gents toilet situation at the ground yesterday was ridiculous & downright unhealthy!!
You couldn’t go to the large loo at the car park end (which was sectioned off) so fair enough I suppose. So that left the Gents up by the big bar. Only 2.5 urinals & 1 cubicle in there, one of the urinals was blocked by 2.00 pm & a horrendous smell of drains!! I don’t know what the state of the one at the School end was like throughout the day but that’s a hell of a walk there & back when u sit down by the 18 x yard box at the Car park end!!
3800 people in attendance I see with the vast majority being male!!
Are we not sponsored by a plumbing company (Uniflow or something like that?) couldn’t the club organise a couple of their top boys to go in, inspect, repair & sort something out the day before any match??
I don’t know if the Blazers on the ground floor fared any better with their facilities??…… I hope not!!

ozymandias wrote: Sun May 04, 2025 9:12 am As said Rick, my phone was playing up and still is. (It's an old one). I've still got to get in the ground with it.
But at least I got one thanks from a little prompt from Steve and yourself.
As far as the game is concerned, Dover are on a roll and it's not going to be an easy game. Especially if we defend like we did Wednesday.
Hopefully, we have it in the tank to get promotion.
We have excelled this season and have already done far better than we thought possible at the start of the season. Our shoddy performance down at Dover. Then a win at ours to even things up. It's going to be lively.

From an outsiders point of view Mr Sweets remarks appear to be bang on for today at least. Disappointing watch and thought Dartford would offer something. For the record I hate Dover and was hoping to wish you congrats. Your to big for that league. Cheers

It’s funny the same comment was trotted out several times by Dowson now exactly the same comment from Ady, is someone on the Board telling them this ? I wonder !
It’s not about whether we are punching above our weight or not, the Budget is important, yes, But with the right group of players and a positive attitude we can compete in this league and hopefully the league above soon.

A big thanks to all the management and players for a good season overall

I just hope Ady stays to finish the rebuilding task he’s started.

I did that by PM and also in here somewhere. If I had seen Steve in the ground yesterday I'd have said it again. ;)
