….and for the record, unless anybody’s not read my post yesterday (and that’ll be most of you on here!) a point against a team that are much better than we are was a good point. We are where we are - my view right from the start of the season has been that this squad lacks experience, end of. We are clearly working within budgetary constraints and not spending what we don’t have on players, good business management in my view.

Considering there is still budget available and players are being signed that haven’t even played for 5yrs doesn’t make any sense at all. Yes you are right we have signed players that lack the experience required so why sign them in the first place, we also have some players that DO have the experience but just are cutting the mustard either.
One of them constantly gave the ball away yesterday or over hit his passes yet some are saying he was MOTM 😳😳😳.

The fact of the matter is that unless some changes are made and fast then we are likely to be in another relegation battle, things are clearly not right within DFC from top to bottom and things need to change.

Tony H is the eternal optimist. He’s right about the point being ‘won’ against a decent side. But that only because of some amazingly shameful and woeful finishing by CVPM. We would have had no complaints being thumped 0-5 there.

I’m the opposite. An eternal pessimist. But anyone can see what’s going on. Don’t need to be pessimistic and I’m calling it what I actually see. Not what I believe in. It’s utter shite being served up and has to change. Or we’re going down. It’s really that simple.

If that’s a response to my post 5th, then how would you know what the budget is and how much is still available? My view that we have insufficient experience in the squad goes back to the start of the season and, I repeat, we have some hugely talented young players at the club with bright futures, but not yet ready for this level of football. The signings we’ve made, in my opinion, reflects the budget the manager has available to him.

I very much disagree with your final sentence and regard that as an attack on people prudently running a business and without taking a gung-ho approach by spending big on players when the funds aren’t there. Seen it all before mate, trust me!

I might have to start watching from the dugout, they clearly see a different game to what we watch.
We are 15th in the league, and celebrating a win against Erith and a point against Cray as something good to build on.
It’s woeful.
As for signing players for the future, everyone is on a 1 year deal.
I would rather we have players for now and worry about the future if we end up having one.

By a good friend.
I enjoyed it much more than that woeful so called football match at PP
Pathetic rubbish.
So, so sad to see our once great non league club reduced to nothing more than a glorified pub team.
Nothing will change because whoever is running this pantomime haven't got a scoobby do.
The club I have supported for 66 years are a total shambles!
I’m sorry Babylon, but that is such an emotion-filled diatribe that I must disagree with most of what you say. To use words like woeful, pathetic, pantomime and shambles beggars belief! Sorry, but I disagree with yours and many others views. I’ll sit back and wait for the barrage of abuse. At least it will detract from the vitriol that’s being directed towards the good people that run this club, well for a short time anyway!!
Tony come on, how can you see things so differently from so many others.
Will you be happy if these “good people” keep running the club into the lower leagues.
I’m not for one second saying that some of the board don’t have the clubs best interests at heart, but we are a million miles off being a competitive club at this level of football.

Eh? I’m just a supporter Spike, like you, but with prior knowledge and experience of how a semi-pro non-league football is run.

Yeah must admit i was disappointed with the "message" in that interview.
Is a good run now a win at Erith Town and a home draw to Cray Valley!

I think expectations from some appear to be way below what i think they should be, I've seen enough of this league now to "expect" us as a club to be challenging for the title and anything less imo is not good enough.

The next couple of months will be make or break, it's time to bolster the squad.

What happens on the pitch is the most important thing by a country mile and sets the tone for the whole club.

So at the moment do you think ours is being run well?

I can’t see how anyone at the game can watch that interview and agree with any of it.
90 mins of nothing.
Shouldn’t it be Pennock coming out after giving his views?
Speaking to people after it seems like we’ve all given up hope of anything this season, and it’s only November.
Cray being disappointed with a point whilst we are happy with it tells me everything about where we are at the moment.

I’ve never once criticised AP, in fact I’ve defended him when he’s had criticism.
But he should be fronting up to these post game interviews.
I think that’s really poor of him, unless there’s a genuine reason I’m not aware of, of course.

I was referring to the management, not you. There's no hope of them fixing a problem if they don't recognize we have one

Was a terrible game to watch. Cray are 4th and we are way down thd table so a point is a good result for us. As for the performance with regard to an attacking aspect, we didn’t get anywhere near scoring a goal. We got dragged into a dogged fight. Cray seem to think that shirt pulling and wrestling is part of the game and it was very disappointing we ended up doing the same.
The ref went over to Ade and said I am booking you for being sarcastic, he should have booked himself for thinking shirt pulling and wrestling is within the laws of the game.
My main disappointment was that we were unable to get the ball to Ollie , he just had scraps to feed on and got zilch protection from the ref
Imo we desperately need some width in the squad. I honestly cannot recall a run down either wing
Anyway I am a little pleased with a draw but much much more is required

Not even Guardiola fronted up to an interview after a defeat yesterday but admittedly Ade is doing it a lot now.
Also he definitely can't praise the fans for the support as the gaps are getting wider in the stands and the team is definitely not giving anything to shout about.
Apart from the screaming fan after the game.
But I do understand the confusion from Tony on the Spike post, even I wondered where that was going. Which is very unusual for Spike.
