That was six years ago and irrelevant as to who paid for his op. My recollection is he never managed to nail down a place once he recovered so he moved on. Let’s get behind him and if he scores 15+ goals next season he will be a raging success
Welcome back Duane 👍

I thought Ade would bring in fresh faces. I feel the signing of Duane is a backward step.
He was fast but that was a long time ago.
Is this what we have to expect?
Sorry, I really don't know what to think.

Maybe sharing an office with the ex manager/director/whatever else isn’t such a great idea.

M1 has a fair point in raising the issue of DOA leaving after the club paid for his operation when he maybe could have shown a bit of loyalty, but perhaps he can pay us back now by banging in a few goals. At his best, he is a class act who should do well at this level. But there is a question as to whether he still can be anywhere near his best as he didn't have a very good time at Torquay and you wonder if he can remain injury free as we've had far too many players spending more time at Darent Valley outpatients than on the training ground over the past couple of years. Having said that, I do wonder if our pre-Pennock policy of seemingly prioritising karaoke ahead of fitness may have played some part in that. Nevertheless, Duane would appear to be an improvement on what we had last year and we are playing at a lower level, only time will tell.

As for Ben Allen, I don't know much about him although from the video he seems to have an eye for goal. I think I will keep an open mind on all the new signings as it's what they do in a Dartford shirt that counts and they all start with a clean slate for this coming season.

Let’s have a full squad and a month of games before we feel a bit down M1
Don’t forget we have been relegated so the squad will inevitably reflect we are a step lower

Welcome to Ben and looking at that video get him on the free kicks, also welcome back Duane.

I'm in the same camp as Spike, I'll always judge all new players on what they do in a Dartford shirt as that's all that matters.

We've 8 players signed now:-

Jacob Marsden
George Whitefield
Denzelle Olopade
Samir Carruthers
Olly Box
Ben Allen
Duane Ofori-Acheampong
Callum Jones
