I don't keep things out of sight - utter tosh.
I was only trying to keep things tidy and thus moved it. I'll move it back & if there's any topics that I think should go in another section in the future, then I will leave them. Not worth the grief I get.

If that happens things will go the same way as the match day attendances. Woke does not tolerate opinions. Because woke is always right. Woke is the enemy of football. Football is about passion. Woke is just stop everything. It makes bromide look like viagra.
Attendances are falling and as with Tonbridge there is not one single post about tomorrow's game on the St. Albans thread.
The communication from the club is worse than ever and subsequently people are asking themselves why they should bother.
The fans are becoming disengaged from the club.
And for those with season tickets who aren't bothering to attend games, if that doesn't ring alarms bells then what will?
The club is at an impasse.
I totally disagree with your comments on the way Rick is running this totally independent forum. In my opinion, forum censorship has been very limited and is fully warranted. Long may it continue, thanks Rick.

The reason former regular posters (like me) post so infrequently these days has absolutely nothing to do with the way the forum is being run, but more with generally feeling very distanced from the club with way this are going on the field.

I've never felt so disenchanted with club as l do now and l really can't see things improving with the current structure. Dowse's approach, recruitment and style of play has been utterly woeful and this why l have lost interest in DFC ... absolutely nothing to do with Rick's management of the forum!
Sounds like you have been talking to silly bollocks thats the sort of rubbish he has been spouting on twitter to his 8 followers.🤣

Sounds as though Dowse is signing players ( plural). Needs to after this week of 'getting rid'. He calls the game at Tonbridge a car crash. Looking at the defending, midfield and forward play I would tend to lean towards a multi vehicle one.
With the speed at which he does his transactions it's far too late for the St Alban's match and we'll remain with bare bones with Barzey and Alintop gone.
Still, we live in hope.

Ajaxman. I find your posts, generally, worth a read. As was your last one here. However, imho, that was a tad harsh. I’m a regular ‘moaner’ (under current circumstances) and one who has ‘voted with feet’ until the buffoon is up the A1. I think Rick does quite an incredible job - though I did think the Tonbridge thread, which was quite ‘vocal’ was removed from the ‘front page’ a bit too quick. I haven’t ever witnessed any hint of censorship here. Plenty of ranting and raving - which is healthy and only because we all care about DFC. Each of us has an opinion.

Ajaxman. Where did that post come from? That took me totally by surprise and came totally out of the blue!!

Indeed, it is only recently I have contacted Rick myself, who I don't know personally, to thank him for his efforts in maintaining this forum. He does a superb job with the forum and certainly doesn't deserve to come under attack in the way you have posted. Absolutely not!!

I've seen no evidence of wokery on this site, and in the past, whenever Rick has relocated posts, he has always stated his reasons to do so, and it's all to do with keeping the forum tidy. Equally, I don't want to see any wokeness on the site either, cos there is too much of it in the outside world at present which is so depressing.

From a distance, what is depressing many at the minute within the club is the performances, plater recruitment and the difficulty in understanding a lot of the managers decisions. They just don't seem to be making any sense to me and to many at present. And even if we win against Welling, it will only be covering the cracks.

However, I will take this opportunity now to wish all forum members, supporters and volunteers in general a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will still be hoping for maximum points over the festive season.

Again Rick, this time publicly, very many thanks for your efforts with the Forum. Keep it up as it is very much appreciated.

I only move a match thread to archived once the MOM poll has ended.
As mentioned previously a poll lasts for 3 days and I believe this was the same when Gary was running the forum - only following in his footsteps. Poll ends - move to archive & lock it, update Leach/Towersey Memorial Shield with results.

Thankfully, I didn't cut anyone off mid sentence as the poll ended after the last post in the Tonbridge thread.

I get it Rick. You don’t need to justify mate. It was just an observation. No criticism.

I absolutely confirm that Rick is doing a very good job and should be left to operate as he thinks posts should be moved around either when not in the right area of the website or once the posts are finished after the 3 days.
At 75 and having seen too many poor seasons like this one and not being very I.T. literate I am able to search and find the various posts I am looking to read or comment on so please keep up the good work Rick

Rick is doing an excellent job, no doubt about that.
It just seemed strange a new thread regarding the first team with a few early replies was relocated within 24 hours.
Especially when there are currently two threads for today's game with no response to the original one the last time I looked.
However, I want to make it quite clear that I do not associate Rick with the inner sanctum. As already quite rightly said this is an independant forum. While not necessarily suggesting that someone may have had a word in his ear we know there are those who say they never read the forum, but know they jolly well do when they betray themselves by their reactions to comments made by supporters.
Taking that into account if Rick felt he needed to move a post to avoid any repercussions I can hardly blame him.
After all wasn't it Ebbsfleet who shut down their fans forum a few years ago?
Although, if that happened here it would only serve to alienate the fans even more and would be totally counter productive.
I know some of my posts are near the mark sometimes but I'm sure there are still one or two out there who wouldn't have it any other way. Neither do I go out of my way to deliberately cause controversy. I just say it as I see it.
My concern is with the way the club is currently being run.
Supporters are voting with their feet. Even season ticket holders are finding other things to do.
I did hear Dowson was swearing at fans during or after the Tonbridge match. I don't know if it was true or not. I read it on Twitter. Maybe it was posted by the man with the 8 followers.
But if this did happen then that doesn't help matters at all.
Anyway, my message to Rick. Keep up the good work mate.

Archie Woods has returned to West Ham. It looks like his season long loan deal had a half season recall or release clause. Shame but if you aren't going to get regular game time what's the point of being out on loan.

If this is true why no statement form the club or manager. The fans deserve to know what is going on with the players/squad.

I said the other week that Dowse kept playing him wide and he's not a wide player and as he's not got the physical presence Dowse likes i didn't see how he would fit him into the side.
You can understand West Ham's decision and another waste of time for all parties.

My view is that loan players get pissed off if they are at a club that is providing nothing in terms of development and let their mother club know it’s a waste of time. The club call them back and immediately send them out on another loan. I think this happened to one of the giant defenders dowse brought in .He probably thought where is the benefit to me in hoofing the ball 60 yards.
I noticed yesterday one defender hoofed it 50yards plus at least 5 times
Is this the players tactic or Dowse’s , I know what I believe

Brendon Barzey scores with a freaky cross/shot as Hemel Hempstead beat the side that stuffed us St Albans by 2-1. Shaun Jeffers who always seems to score wonderful goals against us is sent off.

Great signing, thought he started slow but improved massively when he was here last season and was disappointed when he wasn't retained for this season.

A good signing I just hope he will get played and not just kept on the bench like Archie Woods was most of the time.
At least Jack will put some effort in and will put pressure on some of the other midfielders that need to step up.

Welcome back Jack.
