Thank fk they’ve gone at long last. Massive waste of football energy. Totally anti-football club. Good Riddance.Mark Sweet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:58 pm Hungerford's relegation has been confirmed today after drawing 1-1 with Dulwich, 4 red cards in that game.

Re: News from around the National League South
It was grisly spectacle, how I would imagine a mediaeval inter-village match would look, on a terrible bumpy pitch. Hungerford were a man short from the 15th minute and had all the best chances except the one from which Hamlet equalised in the 88th minute. (That prompted a red card apiece, as players pointlessly wrestled for the ball when both were desperate to restart.) Hungerford gave everything but to no avail.Mark Sweet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:58 pm Hungerford's relegation has been confirmed today after drawing 1-1 with Dulwich, 4 red cards in that game.

With all due respect mate u are a poor team, with a poor ground, poor clubhouse, shit pitch, no fans (except for a couple of Farmers) & players who excel in classic shithousery at every opportunity!!
Enjoy running down that steep hill chasing that round cheese thing next season!!

Torquay are down- albeit a mathematical miracle could save them. They are 3 points behind Maidenhead with 7 goals worse off - of, and Torquay's last game is at home to Wrexham

I lived at the top of Sydenham Hill for 34 years. Dog Kennel Hill right outside the Hamlet’s ground is much the same. No cheese rolling contests in Southwark but, back in the day, the Hamlet players used to train by racing up Dog Kennel Hill against the trams.DA Mikey wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 7:30 amWould that be Sydenham Hill?M1 South wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 10:29 pm With all due respect mate u are a poor team, with a poor ground, poor clubhouse, shit pitch, no fans (except for a couple of Farmers) & players who excel in classic shithousery at every opportunity!!

As for Hungerford, I won't miss their poor bumpy pitch and the team's shithouse tactics. They've been second only to Havant for that since current manager Danny Robinson took over, although unlike Havant they have the excuse of needing to find ways to compensate for a bottom 4 playing budget. However, I like it for a day out and I'll be happy to go back if we meet them again. Someone has to be one of the underdogs in any division, I go to as many away games as I can, some are a lot more enjoyable than others regardless of the result, but I enjoy the variety. It would get very boring if every club felt the same.
Re: News from around the National League South
Some very interesting games tonight with lots to play for:-
Cheshunt 0 0 Worthing
Dulwich Hamlet 0 0 Concord Rangers
Farnborough 0 0 Tonbridge Angels
Hungerford Town 0 0 Bath City
Taunton Town 0 1 Weymouth
Welling United 0 0 Hampton & Richmond Borough
Weymouth taking an early lead and with their last game away at Dover the French could be in serious trouble.

Re: News from around the National League South
Weymouth now winning 3-1. Looks like it will be going to wire for the French.
Re: News from around the National League South
Cheshunt and Hungerford down with two from the following four - Dover, Dulwich, Weymouth, Concord.
Remaining fixtures for those four:-
Thu - 27/04
Concord v Havant
Sat - 29/04
Dover v Weymouth
Dulwich v Chippenham
Eastbourne v Concord
Dover are in real trouble and wouldn't that be a shame if they went down.

Dover are indeed in trouble - they have lost their last 4 on the trot, the worst possible time to hit the skidsPark Life wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 9:47 pm Cheshunt and Hungerford down with two from the following four - Dover, Dulwich, Weymouth, Concord.

Re: News from around the National League South
After my visit to the Crabble earlier this season I really hope that Dover get relegated which will be consistent with their welcome {?] to way fans and the fact that they really are a s..t club !!
Re: News from around the National League South
Concord 2-1 up at half time.
Still could see Dulwich and Dover relegated.

3-2 concord.
3-3
3-4 Havant Jebb
Havants first win in 15 games and concord are relegated.
Re: News from around the National League South
Concord lose 3-4 so they're relegated, i won't miss going there.
Sat - 29/04
Dover v Weymouth
Dulwich v Chippenham
If Weymouth win Saturday it's either Dover or Dulwich down, can't say I'd miss going to either of those as well.
Hopefully it won't effect us anyway.
