Please be aware anyone taking a dog to Princes Park these days may risk incurring a slap on the wrist and a fine from the RSPCA under the Cruelty to Animals Act.

Re: Change of admission 20/03/2024
This old Chestnut rears its head every now & again!! You have to weigh up the pros & cons for & against, but the Club do run Champs bar downstairs which isn’t exactly ‘The One Bell’ in Crayford when it comes to an organised success!! So that would need to be put into the equation too?? ...

Re: Change of admission 20/03/2024
The company who rent the bar facilities from Dartford FC must be making a profit otherwise they wouldn't be there.
Aren't we missing a trick here?

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024
Interesting article by Steve King in today's edition of the Non-League Paper. When it comes to recruitment he's one of the best in the business. Especially his knowledge of players at the level above of whichever division he's managing in at the time. Unlike Dowse his sacking wasn't down to results...

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024
On to Monday then. It won't be the end of the world if we fail to beat Eastbourne but it's definitely a fixture we dare not lose. Borough were reduced to 10 men in the 26th minute, then in the 53rd they were down to 9. They must have put up one hell of a fight in search of an equaliser until Maidsto...

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 23 Mar 2024
I've just been watching that classic YouTube video again of the referee being chased off the pitch, through the car park and out of the ground by the players! Should Hemel win this afternoon I'm wondering if a similar scene could occur upon the final whistle, with Dowse legging it down the slope tow...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
It just needs the referees to 'man up' - when a player goes down screaming and then has a miraculous recovery as soon as the whistle goes then give them a yellow card for 'ungentlemanly conduct' - or go the whole hog and give them a red card for 'serious foul play' Sorry I am now admitting my age b...

The only problem there is we don't get awarded that many penalties and we're running out of games.Mark Sweet wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 2:29 pm We've won 1 game this year and that was against Dover from the penalty spot.
It's extremely optimistic.

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024
I'm not surprised by the position we're in now. It's been coming. We've had two good managers One steered us away from relegation to a play-off final and was sacked. The other to a second place finish and was sacked the following season. Both managers regularly referred to "the budget" whi...

Re: Last 10 games
The current form guide has Eastbourne in 16th and us in 22nd place. They have been improving and like us, before the Torquay debacle, were only losing by the odd goal and now they've started reversing those 0-1 score lines. Even more concerning, their next 2 games are both at home and they're not up...

Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024
Won't say what I think because it's not positive and the usual suspects will pile on me. Absolute disgrace from everyone at the club, excluding the manager as its far too late for him to do anything No, say what you think. I've been quite because I said this was going to happen a couple of months a...

Re: New Manager.
I'm staying neutral on the appointment of the new manager at the moment. Neither happy nor unhappy. Maybe because things are sounding not too dissimilar to the situation regarding Hakan Hayrettin's appointment at Dulwich last season. A successful manager who came in probably a little bit too late to...

Re: News from around the National League South
I understand Cray Wanderers are due to move into their new home at Flamingo Park next season.
Surely if there is a ground share opportunity available that would be more suitable for Welling, being located just outside the boarder of the London Borough of Bexley.

Re: Player news
The club has got to get it's head screwed on and be tough when it comes to any negotiations. If a Premier League club comes in and thinks that much of the lad than stick a million pound price tag on his head. It's the Premiere League so play hardball. Forget about a player having his head turned. It...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
I had a feeling we wouldn't finish quite as high as last season. But I didn't see this coming. The ceiling's caved in. Whatever ambitions we harboured have gone out of the window and now we've lost our way. It's not easy to get crucial decisions right in an unpredictable world. But that's what succe...

Re: News from around the National League South
I can't believe the board at Maidstone are still making these statements. They've been having issues with yobs for years and done sod all about it. They believe these unsavoury incidents are rare. Really? Well they're not in their case. I think a lot of fans who have experienced a less than welcomin...
