Re: Ebbsfleet v Dartford Sun 2nd January 2022

Hadn't thought of trying the RADIO to listen to Radio Kent. I thought it was all on the web these days. Disappointed with the result today, but the DFC commentary suggested that we should have scored first and should probably have drawn the match at worst. We now need to turn PP into a fortress. Wit...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Dartford Sun 2nd January 2022

Are Radio Kent serious? Covering an irrelevant Dover match rather than a Kent derby between two top three sides. Thank goodness for technological developments and the commitment of great fans. It is great not to have to rely upon the BBC for anything now.

Match sounds cagey. Come on you DARTS!

Re: Braintree v Dartford Tue 28 Dec 2021 at 3pm

I hope the fact that we snatched a late equaliser will not hide the fact that we struggled against the team second bottom, having recently beaten the bottom side thanks to a goal-keeping error. I would love to know what happened to the team coach that set off on that fateful journey to Sudbury. I st...

Covid Restrictions Looming Large

The Queen of Scots (she wishes) has just announced that no more than 500 can watch an outdoor sports event north of the border prior to 16 January 2022. This probably will not affect many Scottish clubs, BUT it has generally been the case that Boris launches his policies through the evolved Scotland...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Dartford Sun 2nd January 2022

In view of the dreadful announcement in The Netherlands this evening, I fear that this game will be forced behind closed doors or cancelled. Worse case scenario modelling is about to rule our lives again as one person has died WITH the current variant. I fear for all those in the hospitality sector ...

Re: Barred from Wembley

Whilst I deleted the App from my phone, my wife was determined to find out why the App did not work, when we had both used it previously (me for a Spurs match and her for a recent trip to Wales). She has now been advised that the security around the App has been tightened. Basically, they are trying...

Barred from Wembley

How sad that the Wembley Stadium web site boasts that their Covid protocol is stricter than current Government requirements. They impose regular spot checks which are more frequent in certain parts of the stadium and restrict you to a time slot when you will be allowed access. We had tickets for the...

Grassbank - sometimes known as One-a-day-Wellsy - Phil Wells. Taken to watch the Darts by older brothers in October 1973 to see the Darts beat Chelmsford 2-1 (Burns, Glozier - att. 1,446) and a life-long fan ever since. Those that visited Watling Street will know why Grassbank. What a vantage point ...

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 13 Nov 2021

This felt like a game that had almost everything. We had a goal disallowed, we hit the bar, the opposing keeper made a great save when we looked like scoring from a corner, we had the pantomime villain (no. 19). We also had a great save from our keeper, I believe. It looked like he pushed the ball o...

The Advantage of Playing Away?

Football-related, obviously. Prior to the matches this evening, which are currently both being won by the away sides, there are ten teams in our league that have won more games away from home than at home whilst only four teams have won more home matches than away matches. Surely this is not what on...

Re: The New Scoreboard and Clock

I must remember to bring my stop watch on Saturday and to start it as the official clock reaches 45 minutes in the hope that doing so will be in breach of a ridiculous regulation imposed by an organisation unfit for purpose. I must admit, I am not sure why there is a UEFA regulation that governs the...

Thank you to the Committee members who put themselves forward for another year to run the Supporters' Association on behalf of the rest of us. They work tirelessly behind the scenes, together with other volunteers, and raise much needed funds that are transferred to the club. I urge all supporters t...

The New Scoreboard and Clock

As the old board was broken, I welcome the arrival of the new board. This was the second football match that I have attended within three days when there was an additional five minutes of play added to the end of the match. However, at both grounds, the clock on view to the crown stopped at 45 minut...

Re: AFC Sudbury Pitch

Poor match for a Friday night's entertainment. Glad I managed to take in the Spurs match last night. Five goals, three red cards and some maniac Dutch supporters.

Expecting Dartford to awaken from their slumbers tomorrow.

Re: FA cup 4th qualifying round draw - AFC Sudbury v Dartford Sat 16 Oct 2021 KO 3pm

Great day meeting old friends that I have not seen for too long rather spoiled by a dreadful match on the plastic. Dartford dominated the first half, but showed no urgency and went in fortunate to be one up, scoring from the only real shot of the half. Sloppy play at the beginning of the second half...

Re: FA cup 4th qualifying round draw - AFC Sudbury v Dartford Sat 16 Oct 2021 KO 3pm

I think it a little harsh to say that we were stuffed in the reply. 2-1 down with ten minutes to play and the second Bournemouth goal had been a penalty. Have just watched the goal highlights on You Tube. I had not realised that Robbie Savage was one of the Bournemouth scorers that evening. What I d...

Re: FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round - October 16th

Away from home against a team from a lower league. Perfect.

The only disappointment is that I have been to the ground previously.

Bring it on.
