Re: Change of admission 20/03/2024

I welcome this decision and hope that it helps to improve the atmosphere at the ground for the critical remaining fixtures. We have to get behind all eleven players on the pitch throughout the match, whether they are favourites of ours or not. It is likely that there will be major changes in the pla...

Re: News from around the National League South

Truro really are beginning to face a fixture issue. They have thirteen games to play and I believe that Saturday 20 April is due to be the last date for fixtures, unless an extension is granted. However, the play-off contenders need to be considered, especially if any of them are due to play Truro s...

Re: News from around the National League South

Firstly, I hope that the player involved is OK and makes a full recovery. I recall an away game in Kent against a team in yellow many years ago when the ref was pursuaded to abandon a game late in the second half with our opponents down to ten men and Dartford one goal to the good. The pitch was wet...

Re: Kent Senior Cup semi-final Dartford v Maidstone Tue 19 Mar 2024

It must be an important game. Olly Box makes the starting line up. Pity Saturday passed without him stepping onto the pitch. Not sure what he will have to do to show that he should start on Saturday, but I hope he manages it. The way our luck is currently, I fear he may be injured tonight. Currently...

Hoping for an injury free, card free evening. The result is secondary to me.

Sadly will miss the return of the Messiah as I will be in the wetlands of Devon and Cornwall campaigning the new rally car. Hoping for some good news come 5PM to make the long journey home a little more pleasant.

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024

I feel that we matched our opponents in the first half before one lapse in concentration spoiled what had been a good half of football. It was a little physical, but the ref let it run and no cards were shown. For a derby match, it was rather tame. What happened during the interval? Was the ref swap...

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024

Why are we not able to keep eleven players on the pitch whilst desperate for points? It appears as though we are in a self-destruction mode.

Annoying to say the least.

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024

My thoughts, for what they are worth. Dover, H&W, Eastbourne and Taunton to face the drop. Dover in big trouble with ten games to play, just four of them at home. BUT - They play home to H&W (16-Mar) and away at WSM (09-Mar), Eastbourne (12-Mar), Welling (29-Mar) and Truro (16-Apr). All coul...

Re: Dartford v Aveley - Tue 27 Feb 2024

How did we throw that away. We had worked hard all evening and were well worth our lead before we switched off and left as player unmarked. All the hard work wasted in a moment and then worse was to come. Sadly, shirt pulling by the Aveley full back was not seen, but the mad challenge by our keeper ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024

Dreadful game from all three teams involved. Our best two players were the last two to join the match and both sparked some life into a game that offered hardly any for eighty minutes. Beginning to think that this season could go down to the wire.

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

Really disappointed with the news about Chin. He gave us pace and direction and was often our player of the match. Strange that he should move on when we had expected him back once fit. Also disappopinted to lose the Bromley stricker just as we appoint a manager that is likely to use him in his best...

Re: Dartford v Weymouth Sat 27 Jan 2024

What a disappointing match between two very poor sides. The goal deserved a decent match to be wrapped around it, but it was not to be. We started brightly and were denied a great opportunity by the ref blowing for a foul by the keeper outside the box rather than playing advantage. The keeper was on...

Re: Alan Dowson sacked

I am sad that the Board have felt it necessary to take this action, but I believe it to be the right action and for the best reasons. Dowse came to us with a good reputation and, for whatever reason, his approach has just not worked out this season. Not only have results been disappointing, but the ...

Re: Weston-super-Mare v Dartford Sat 6 Jan 2024

I assume that the pitch has already been deemed suitable if played upon today and any inspection tomorrow will only determine if matters have become worse overnight. If that is not the case, one has to wonder why.

Good luck to anybody who ventues deep down into the south west tomorrow.

Re: Dartford v Welling Utd Sat 30 Dec 2023

With 2000 people in the ground, today was a chance for football at our level to show what it has to offer. I fear very few of the floating spectators that came along today will return. Two very poor sides and an even worse match official. The only positive that I can see is that this has closed out ...
