Re: Dartford v Aveley - Tue 27 Feb 2024

Once again, I cannot fault the effort from the team, they gave it everything against a very organised side. By not extending our lead when opportunities arose was always going to be a problem. Both goals were avoidable and those individual errors cost us the points and I have come to the conclusion ...

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024

The A2 route is far the easiest as it more or less takes you to the ground. For those travelling the M20 route will have to navigate through the town. As for the game, I think we will come good today. Recent performances have shown improvement but I would like to see Adebowale start and swap Jordan ...

Re: Car share thread

It might be worth raising the profile on this thread with such a big game tomorrow.

Re: New Manager.

I hope we don’t get a manager who has had a relegation, I think that has to be the No. 1 point on the checklist. We need someone young, hungry, successful and a decent human being like TB. Certainly don’t want a Pennoch, Hessenthaler or Rose old style manager. Personally, I think we should look outs...

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

Thanks for the confirmation Rick. This was never going to be an easy game; gifting Bath a goal didn’t help matters but at least we finished the match strongly, which suggests that we are improving. I think we need to get behind TB and keep him in place to the end of the season. He will sort out the ...

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

I make that 2 points from our last 6 games, which could possibly put us at the bottom of the form guide. Time to put Rooney further up the pitch and loose our holding midfielder.

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

Are we playing 3 at the back now, with Rooney pushed into midfield. Sounds like we are building some pressure.

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

Looks like TB is going with 4-4-2 today and on paper, it’s a very attacking lineup. Once again, Adebowale is on the bench and Rooney playing in central defence. Would have been happier to see Rooney in midfield and give Wynter a break. Good luck Darts and hope the travelling contingent see a positiv...

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

I see Richard Chin has signed for Bath. Is this the fella Dartford were hoping to get back? New to Dartford and don't know the history. Yes, very disappointing from our perspective but good news for Bath. This is the second player who has gone elsewhere, something does not add up. I would not be su...

Re: News from around the National League South

Simplifying a design can work, here is one of our attempts back from the 70's. I will leave out the Munich 72 tracksuit, with the fart flap at the back. Who can remember them! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/d56nxpvvxdq0vj70el0qj/Th-Darts.jpg?rlkey=vf2yjfgryg6ggfgegxl5obq8j&dl=0 Rick, you can emb...

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024

I would have liked to have seen Adebowale start today with Rooney in midfield and Jordan on the bench. Adebowale has been at the club quite some time yet has not seen hardly any game time. If we ain't gonna give the guy game time then what is the point of him being at the club. Looking at the fixtur...

I can’t remember the last time we scored from open play or from a cross from the wing. Seems like TB’s faith has been rewarded.

Re: Dowson: I knew my time was up 1 Feb 2024

Unbelievable, you can’t make this sh!t up. “Running the board”…geez, let’s blame it all on PL & Duke then. Maybe I should have had words with Steve Irving earlier, it might have given TB a few more games to fix the mess. Good luck to Dowse, he would have been better served without an exit interv...

Re: New Manager.

This season we had a manager who tied up the budget with a bunch of injured players and to bring Dennis on board it would once again tie up the budget with his wages. It ain’t going to happen. Our last two managers have just bought chaos and division with their revolving door policy and caused divis...

Re: News from around the National League South

Are Welling on the move, looks like they are seeking a ground share, possibly at Tonbridge. https://wellingunited.com/2023/07/welling-united-reveal-plans-for-park-view-road-redevelopment/ What does this mean and more importantly, where will the bus stop be relocated, maybe our friend Buzz Stop has t...

Re: New Manager.

I think we need a young manager who has already been successful. Danny Scopes would be my first choice, but there is very little out there about him. He is known for developing young players and despite the fact he has already lost his best players this term, he has got Aveley back in the play-off p...

Re: Dartford v Weymouth Sat 27 Jan 2024

I would like to see TB go 4-4-2 as well PL but do you think we have the player’s to pull it off. With Brandon back, at least we now have 2 natural wide players. With that in mind and the recent performance at M@id$ton£ from Miller-Rodney & Rooney, that would be the 4 across midfield. Whoever pla...
