It'll be a great thread.

Re: FA Trophy

I can't remember the last time we passed the first hurdle in the Trophy.
Don't think the draws in this competition have been that kind to us in recent seasons.

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 13 Nov 2021

Totally agree with you Sleightly, one of the best goalless games and credit to Oxford for being attack minded visitors. One incident in the first half which could have had serious implications later was the needless yellow card by a certain player for vehemently arguing with the referee over a foul...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Sat 6 Nov 2021

0-1 down and I'm thinking here we go again. 2-1 up at half time reminds me why we're still top of the league. Second half free kick and it's all square until Ade Azeez puts us back infront. Suddenly we've got our swagger back. Haven't we? Not according to our manager who has been absolutely brillian...

Re: Dorking v Dartford Sat 30 Oct 2021

I did hear from a well-connected sauce that when confronted about how he could have missed such a blatant handball by the keeper, the referee indicated that he wouldn't be losing any sleep over it as this was his last season anyway. If that's his attitude then Saturday should have been his last game...

Re: Chelmsford match on Monday 25th October 2021

Nope, we must have knocked their confidence after beating them 3-0! they lost 2-0 at home to Eastbourne and yesterday lost 2-0 at home to Dorking. Let's hope we don't suffer the same post match cup trauma suffered by the incumbents at the Gallagher Stadium, which was hardly a shock in comparison to...

Re: FA cup 4th qualifying round draw - AFC Sudbury v Dartford Sat 16 Oct 2021 KO 3pm

Fourth qualifying round always a massive banana skin. Especially when facing lower league opposition. With the possibility of a mouth watering money spinning tie away to the likes of Portsmouth and Sunderland awaiting the victors, that can be a massive game changer for clubs like AFC Sudbury. Tomorr...

Re: Dartford v Hungerford Sat 9 Oct 2021 Kick off 3pm

Danny Robinson was very complimentary in the aftermath of defeat towards, not only our team, but the club in general. He set his side up to do what they had to do and unfortunately for them it never paid of. They knew going toe to toe with us most certainly wasn't an option as it would have been sui...

Great day, brilliant atmosphere. It felt like being back on an away day trip in the National League again. MOTM hard to choose yet again. I've gone for Tom Bonner who marshalled our defence brilliantly. We scored 3 great goals but also defended very well. We cleared and blocked practically everythin...

Re: London Senior Cup - Dartford v Athletic Newham Tue 28 Sep 2021 KO 7.45pm

A few over zealous tackles and lack of official control apart, Newham gave it a real go this evening giving more evidence to the rise in the standard of play throughout the football pyramid. They did well to take the lead twice but once they fell behind that extra bit of class, along with our compos...

Four consecutive Kent derbies. Possibly five.
From a financial point of view I'll take that, providing we win the replay at Princes Park.

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

Class and fitness rose like cream to the top by the closing stages. Danny Leonard MOT for me. His contribution played a massive part in putting the tie to bed well before time. I saw Faversham play Chichester in Hythe Town's league a few weeks ago. It was a forgettable match where neither side looke...
