Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

Great result by the team today. They played two matches more than Tonbridge over the Easter break and would have been running on empty before the end of this match. Add to that the results from our main rivals and a win was a necessity today. This was the hardest match on paper and no doubt on the p...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

Dreadful performance tonight from the boys in black and white and the man in black. Plenty of screaming and play acting from our opponents, but also a desire to take something from the match. They appeared to have settled for a draw with constant time wasting in the second half, but realised we had ...

Re: Dartford v Dover Mon 10 Apr 2023

If results are kind to us yet again tomorrow, we could be guaranteed a league finish no lower than sixth with five matches to play. By Thursday night, it could be no lower than fourth. We are in a very strong position and must now press on to finish the job. Three wins and a draw from the last six m...

Re: Dartford v Dover Mon 10 Apr 2023

This match is generating a huge amount of interest. Not sure what to expect. Samir is probable out until next season and Wall may not be fit after the incident/s at Eastbourne yesterday. He really does receive no protection from the men in black. Who knows which keeper will play? Who will call heads...

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

Sitting at home listening to a quality commentary. Sadly, he has very little positive action to report upon from a Dartford perspective. Having gone behind, we do not appear to have threatened our opponent's goal very much. Our away form is seriously poor. We will probably finish second, as nobody e...

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

The league throws up strange fixtures from tie to time. Today could be a trial run of the play-offs. Chelmsford (4th) vs. Farnborough (7th) and St Albans (5th) vs. Braintree (6th). No doubt much will change between now and the end of the regular fixtures, but these four teams will all expect to feat...

Re: Play off dates.

Yes, but sport is no longer for the paying public that turn up week in, week out. Television calls the shots, sadly. Great when you consider that they cover just a couple of games in the season. I would rather the league set the time at 3PM and tell the TV station where to stick their coverage - but...

Re: Dartford v Chelmsford City Sat 25 Mar 2023

Disappointing performance today against clever opponents who never missed a chance to pinch ten yards or grab a Dartford shirt or arm. You need a strong ref when you play a team like this and ..... Biggest disappointment for me was that their keeper did not have a single save to make. Sad he acted t...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Sat Mar 18 2023

I assume that they must have had a local cloud burst. The amount of rain that has fallen in Dartford would not normally result in a match cancellation. Gutted as I was travelling to this match today. I doubt that I will be able to make a mid-week evening fixture. On the positive side, I can now sit ...

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 25 Feb 2023

Two closely matched sides only ever came close to ending the stalemate with the intervention of the referee. Oxford played him like a fiddle and he constantly fell for their theatrical dives, booking Dartford players in the process. Thankfully, they carried no more goal threat than we could manage a...

Difficult place to get a result even with a full squad being available. Valuable point from where I am sitting. Well done Darts.

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 14 Jan 2023

Only a few post have beaten me to it and there is very little if anything to add. It had to happen eventually and we finally had the bad day at the office. The team looked tired. The first foul was not given by the ref until more than fifteen minutes had passed and yet he still managed to book a rid...

Maybe they are hoping that if they delay long enough, that they will be thrown out of the competition.

Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Sat 7 Jan 2023

Ashamed to admit this was my first away game of the season. Nice club, with good facilities for the fans. Tricky pitch and wind conditions, but our team had exactly the right approach and produced an excellent result in the circumstances. Cheshunt played with spirit and I think that they may escape ...

Re: Dartford v Ebbsfleet Sun 1 Jan 2023 @ 3pm

Well, what a marvellous performance to start the New Year with. Great team spirit throughout our squad, something that is clearly lacking in the opponents team. Perhaps they are too worried about how much the other players in their team are being paid to actually put in a shift and help each other. ...

Re: Ebbsfleet v Dartford Mon 26 Dec 2022 at 3pm

Watching the goal tally mount on Flashscores as I carved the lamb helped make up for not being at the ground today. Family commitments have stopped me watching Boxing Day matches for more than twenty year now. It would be nice for a repeat performance on New Years Day as I already have tickets and w...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Wed 14 Dec 2022

Great result on a very cold night. Now is the time to see which teams are up for the challenge. Ebbsfleet lost at home yesterday to Eastbourne and now Havant have lost at home. Perhaps these full time Charlies don't like being out of their comfort zone. Safe journey home to those that travelled and ...

Re: DFCSA Race Night - 26th November 2022

Thank you to everybody involved in the organisation and running of this event.

We spent an enjoyable evening sharing a table with the boss and a group of friendly Geordies. Sadly, they struggled to pick a winner between them all evening.

Re: Oxford City v Dartford Tue 22 Nov 2022

Disappointed that we have conceded a late equaliser, but I still consider a draw away to Oxford on a Tuesday night a good result. Something has clearly improved since the weekend. Hopefully the start of another good run.

Re: FA Trophy 2nd Round Swindon Supermarine v Dartford Sat 19 Nov 2022

5th, you have a short memory. At least we had somebody who usually plays in goal on the pitch today. I seem to recall a Trophy game when we took to the field without one. We lost that day as well. The last time we were embarrassed in a cup competition by a team from leagues below us, we bounced back...
