Re: Peter Taylor

Don't really feel the need to have a Welling love in. Peter Taylor is at rock bottom, like the club he joins. It is what it is. Fools for letting the King go. Welling let Steve King go solely because they couldn’t afford to supply the substantial budget he demands anymore. Generally wherever he’s b...

Re: Peter Taylor

I think what alot of other clubs fans seem to forget Is that the reason we have " better finance's" is due to alot of hard work behind the scenes, we haven't had a rich sugar daddy come in and buy us up the league's like some other clubs have in our league. Absolutely, and some clubs fail...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

That he did. The management combo was an undeniable fail, but that doesn't diminish the huge contribution that both Flanners & Coyley made as players. Good luck to Adam, I hope he goes on to better things.

I'd just leave the Russian connection out of the equation

Absolutely outstanding performance from our phenomenal squad. I always say squad, not team, because it's the depth of talent that elevates us to a higher level. Steve King has assembled a group of players that we can be proud of and the quality of football is surely belonging of a much higher level....

Re: London Senior Cup - Dartford v Athletic Newham Tue 28 Sep 2021 KO 7.45pm

A good opportunity to play those who didn't start on Saturday plus a few youngsters in what turned out to be a very competitive match. Athletic Newham were well up for it and showed a lot of promise, but in the end they started to run out of steam and bringing on Dan Roberts was too much for them to...

Re: Welling United v Dartford Sat 25 Sep 2021 Kick Off: 3pm

It's the manager's job to not get carried away, but as fans, if we can't get excited on days like this then what's the point of coming? I think we're entitled to milk the crap out of it and go full on mental as it's not very often that your team sticks 6 past your local rivals. Darts were absolutely...

Re: Maidstone v Dartford FA Cup 3rd Qualifying

232 tickets remaining as of 5pm.

ps. He seemed a nice bloke so I felt a little guilty, but I couldn't help cheering when the bloke from Maidstone was the first one out on Bake Off last night.

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

If the manager didn't want the pitch watered at half time then I'm sure it wouldn't be happening. He must have his reasons. Whatever the reason, it seems to be working. They can run the sprinklers for the whole 90 minutes for all I care, as long as we keep getting the results.

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

I don't think we ever got out of second gear but the gulf between the two teams was huge and that was more than enough to run out comfortable winners. Credit to Hythe, they did try to play a bit of football and scored a decent goal, but the outcome never looked in doubt. In all honesty I think we pl...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

Whilst Reggie's posts were scarily obsessive to the point that they could be interpreted as a precursor to boiling Steve King's bunny should Reg ever feel that the adulation was unrequited, it should be remembered that we are top of the league, unbeaten, have conceded fewer goals than any other team...

How on earth did we not manage to score in this game!
I think we made the mistake of assuming that we would.

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw: Dartford v Hythe Town Sat 18 Sep 2021

It was Dartford's last FA Cup win over football league opposition (Aldershot on 16th Nov 1968) that got me started supporting the Darts. I was just a little kid and didn't even know we had a team until Frank Bough said we'd won. Since then we've come close once or twice but in recent years we've nev...
