That's good, hopefully they'll play him as a striker where he belongs, rather than on the wing. The lad definitely has a knack for scoring. The experience will surely serve him well. The Futures White wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:25 pm Olly Box has been loaned out to Margate for a month in order to get regular first team minutes.

Re: Hampton & Richmond v Dartford Sat 14 Oct 2023
Well it might have been a good game for a neutral, but I'm not now and never going to be neutral. In the first half we had a lot of possession and territory, but were far too timid for my liking and created very little going forward. We posed no real threat to their keeper and then gave away two stu...

Re: Tom Bonner
Maybe that's a case of not being able to make it due to a subsequent engagement.tommytollbooth wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:57 am According to the Dowse interview on Kent online today Tom Bonner is unlikely to play against us on the 21st due to work commitments?
Seriously though, the more I think about it, the less of a big deal it seems.

I've just watched back Max Statham's sending off and it is utterly ridiculous.

Re: Tom Bonner
Tom is entitled to go wherever he likes and if he's getting a big pay day down there (as Dowse's interview implied) then good luck to him. Tom was great for us and made a massive contribution over the years and that will never be forgotten. That said, I wouldn't have wanted him to stay on a "pl...

Re: Chippenham Town v Dartford Sat 7 Oct 2023
On the way down the mood in our car was far from optimistic. TBH a defeat seemed the most likely outcome although we did hold on to a glimmer of hope for an ugly win like the one at Aveley. What we did not expect was a great performance, an exciting game a win and 4 goals. This was our best performa...

Some clubs never learn. The more you keep pushing that agenda Dean, the more people will push back with the obvious fact that he got results and the football was better. That is what matters most to 95% of people in the ground. I understand why the club made the decision but it's done and dusted no...

Re: Dowse Midweek Interview - 28/09/23
Dowse, you can't sign Alex Wall, Luke Allen and Charlie Sheringham and then say “I just want a chance to get everyone fit.”
It's like signing Douglas Bader and then complaining that his leg injuries are taking too long to recover.

Re: Player news
Good prospect and player in my eyes. Such a shame Dowse fell out with him. Good luck for the future Marvin Herschel That's an incorrect assumption Rambo. Dowse (and the club) tried very hard to keep Marvin in the fold, but there are certain expectations that go with playing for a club at this level...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023
Although it wasn't anything special, at half-time I did feel that we had shown some improvement in the first half, knocking the ball about slightly better with fewer "ave it" launches into near orbit and maybe overall shading Welling's 6/10 performance with a 6½ of our own. During the inte...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023
I can respect other people's opinions without having to agree with them, but the stuff Ajaxman posted was (fair enough) done in such a way as to suggest they were not necessarily all his views, but anecdotal views of "supporters" he's met in the town. Some of those comments are subjective ...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023
Whilst I think our club is generally run very well, having read through the more sensible posts, I think there are a fair few points raised and I am reminded of some things we could do better. I have yet to speak to a single person who doesn't think the website has always been terrible. It's been me...

People are suggesting here the corporate side isn’t working very well?? The club have alienated the young fans??? The manager isn’t doing his job??? Sorry but it’s the board who are to blame Long term fans walked and people that went home and away and spent money in the bar and club shop walked Unf...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023
I've read a lot of stuff recently about what the club is doing wrong and that our board lacks ambition and such like, and in my personal opinion those criticisms are completely unjustified. As a whole, I believe we have one of the best run clubs at this level of football and the people who are runni...

Whilst we are consistently dull to watch, I do agree with Dowse that we were unlucky to lose this game. A draw would have been a fair result. That said, the fact that he is "delighted with the performance " does worry me.
