Tough games for all us scrapping it out near to bottom. Any points from our game would be a very welcome surprise. You never know your luck.
Can't make the game but looking forward to hearing how we get on.

Re: New Manager.
Looking forward to seeing/hearing from the new man. Perhaps the media boys/girls have it in hand. Would be nice to get some feedback on his appointment and expectations of the squad.

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024
It's all bad news for Taunton, not good at all
Results went out way tonight fortunately. Hopefully the team will be fired up for Saturday, and can lay to rest the Douse era.

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024
I don't know about the scrap to stay up, it sounds as though clubs are queuing to go down because it'll do the club a favour. Regroup. Maybe we should take up that stance.😉 Dowson has done us a favour after all. I wouldn't be surprised if in his next interview he will say it was his aim all along t...

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024
The three directly below us all play on Tuesday,
Farn v Welling
H & R v EB Boro
Taunton v Slough
Hopefully they will go in our favour. I noticed our last game of the season is home v Turo. Let's hope the new man can get the best out of the team, and we can avoid last day nerves

Re: The relegation battle thread 2024
Your intentions are clearly a very kind gesture to them. I’d be surprised if they would like this in fact they would probably be more embarrassed by this I would imagine. For me they are lucky enough to have all this talent and it’s their personal and professional responsibility to fight for the su...

The relegation battle thread 2024
We have a mountain to climb looking at the fixtures we have left, it's hard reading. IMO we are going to really need maximum points against others around us (turo, h & w, Eastbourne), there are a number of very tough games Yeovil, Chelmsford, Worthing, Braintree (the top 4) plus Maidstone and ot...

Re: New Manager.
Sounds like he has all the pedigree we could ask for. I know people are angry at the board (myself included) for allowing Douse to stay on so long, but they are trying to move forward slowly, we need all the support we can get. People can voice their opinions on here even if it goes against the grai...

Re: New Manager.
How many games would you say is reasonable for a new manager to need to settle? As we don't really have the luxury on that front do we?! You could say they will have a better platform than TB had, now he has installed some improvements. I'm getting to the point now, where I feel a change now could b...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024
After watching the highlights, it would seem clear that our claim for a pen was inside the box, from behind the goal defender took his leg after being turned inside. I didn't count an attempt on goal besides Alex walls volley and free kick, which needs to change. I thought Elliot put in a good shift...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024
The referee gave no protection to Shomotun today, there were at least 4 fouls waived away by the one in the black, including the resulting pen following one of them. Keeper with the sun in his eyes all second half and apart from wall in the last few minutes, nobody attempted a shot at goal, dispite ...

Looking forward to this one, hopefully we continue to build on what has started to show on and off the pitch.
Home form doesn't look great on paper, if only we could make PP a fortress again!

Re: Slough Town v Dartford Tue 20 Feb 2024
Not wanting to start a TB love in, however listening to his interviews is a breath of fresh air and exactly what we have been missing with Douse. I always felt that SK would also give an honest assessment of the game and provide confidence for us fans that it is a work in progress. Unfortunately the...
