Re: News from around the National League South
I thought that Welling were planning on ground-sharing with Tonbridge Angels next season and then saw this from Tonbridge just now..... https://www.tonbridgeangels.co.uk/first-team-news/groundshare-opportunity/5161?fbclid=IwAR28SHA3rckPDyYVlHOkLFnIXZ3B0okfyedozMKN6GKKZWnoLyI7Y_jOXfI It’s possible t...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024
We will get smashed by Worthing and possibly Aveley.
Sad to say, but Dartford have been woeful for 14 months now.

Re: Slough Town v Dartford Tue 20 Feb 2024
Wasn’t confident we’d get anything from tonight’s game with Slough on an imperious home run and us just about ending our losing streak by grinding out a win against Dover, but this Saturday really is the one. If we are unable to beat a tattered and torn Taunton (sorry for the tautology), it will sur...

Heard Tony Russell’s name mentioned at the weekend by some gentlemen ITK and did wonder if there was a connection.
Remember him at Cray and liked the cut of his jib.

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
Dover are one of most petty clubs in existence. We were told we couldn’t not put the flags over the advertising boards covering them up even though they were blank and had no advertising on them . f*cking twats !!! Remember at Southport where the same thing happened - the flags had to come off the ...

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
As soon as Dovre kicked off and twatted the ball straight into touch, it was clear that this was going to be one for the purists. Barring a few exceptions, neither side were able to string more than three passes together, sometimes this generates from a highly-anticipated game where tensions run hig...

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
The psychology of thriving upon the peril of others typifies a deeply unsound state of mind. Loosely typecasted as ‘Schadenfreude’, it can be a far deeper construct employed by control freaks and sociopaths alike. Best course of action is that of indifference, much like ignoring the bully at school....

Re: Car share thread
The A2 has been closed since 11pm last night owing to a serious incident. It’s expected to reopen at 10am, however it will be worth considering the M20 for anyone travelling to Dover by road. Check your route.

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
Utter garbage. Didn’t get there until after half eight, so apparently missed the all good stuff as usual. Last time I saw a decent performance was the 2-2 draw against Yeovil back when I was single. Portent or what? Really not sure if this group of players would hold up in the Isthmian Premier, ther...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
For various reasons I’ve only seen two games this year (WSM away & Weymouth), so looking forward to tomorrow’s clash with Chippenham under the lights. Was the last time they visited PP midweek our penalty bail-out in the playoffs? No point in making predictions, I’ll just enjoy seeing the DFC fa...

OMG, that takes some real dedication and commitment.
Remember first moving to Dartford and hearing pissed up Millwall fans in the Railway Tavern singing vile songs about the Munich air disaster, printing pictures is another level.
Disgusting.

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024
I make that 2 points from our last 6 games, which could possibly put us at the bottom of the form guide. Yep: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league-south/form-guide … and those two draws could be replaced by two losses in the next seven days. Hopefully not, but things do not look good ...

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024
Penalty ought to have been retaken as there is clear encroachment. Farnborough second goal - as PL states - could have been chalked off for offside, although this is slightly clutching at straws.
Quite glad we have the London Cup game on Tuesday as I feel we are capable of turning a corner now.

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024
Nice to hear some positivity from you in the wake of Dowson SD, but if you think out fate is based on beating four specific teams - no matter where they sit in the table - then I think the writing is on the Wall… We’ll certainly need to win a few games - and avoid defeat in a few more - to avoid the...
