Re: Weston-super-Mare v Dartford Sat 6 Jan 2024

I assume that the pitch has already been deemed suitable if played upon today and any inspection tomorrow will only determine if matters have become worse overnight. If that is not the case, one has to wonder why.

Good luck to anybody who ventues deep down into the south west tomorrow.

Re: Dartford v Welling Utd Sat 30 Dec 2023

With 2000 people in the ground, today was a chance for football at our level to show what it has to offer. I fear very few of the floating spectators that came along today will return. Two very poor sides and an even worse match official. The only positive that I can see is that this has closed out ...

Hopefully this result will help boost the attendance when we play Welling at home on Saturday.

Well done all.

Re: Welling Utd v Dartford Tue 26 Dec 2023 @ 1pm

Please start my Boxing Day off on a happy note by telling me that Mr. Chin has an extended loan period. We so need his energy on the pitch.

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sat 23 Dec 2023

Two very poor teams playing out an awful match. Those that went shopping probably had a more enjoyable time. Why were we playing the most likely scorer wide on the left wing with the selected striker isolated throughout the match? Why did we take off Chin, our most illustrious player? Why do we alwa...

I hope that you got good odds on us scoring twice more than our opponents. Brave.

Re: Dartford v Yeovil Town Sat 9th Dec 2023

I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment on offer today. Yeovil were a quality act and they knew how to boss the man in the middle. For all their quality passing and wealth of possession they did not score in open play, although they should have. They were very quick to go to ground, especially in and...

Re: Dartford v Torquay Utd Sat 25 Nov 2023

My first game for a while. What has all the moaning been about? I watched a strong, vibrant team performance with pace up front and total commitment from the guys at the back, putting themselves on the line when opponents lined up shots. Our visitors were poor in front of goal, they should have scor...

Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Tue 21 Nov 2023

I do not recall a season when we have been awarded so many red cards. Not even Tony Pamphlett racked up this many. The suspensions are bad enough, but playing a man short for so many minutes will only make it easier for our opponents. We do not appear to understand how the refs are looking at challe...

Not a single goal in the league fixtures yet, twenty-six minutes in. That is unusual.

Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Tue 21 Nov 2023

I fear that the suspensions could cost us tonight. Discipline appears to be a bit of an issue.

Hoping for a result to move us over halfway.

Come on you DARTS!

I understand that Tom received his marching orders late in the game tonight. Havant recorded a 1 - 4 defeat, so they are still bottom.

Re: Dartford v Havant and Waterlooville Sat 21 Oct 2023

I do not think I have ever seen such a poor Waterlooville side. Almost as if they were just going through the motions. There was no passion and no desire on show. Dartford we good, but not great. The goals were well taken. There were times when our delivery into the box was threatening, but there wa...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

Two very poor sides playing out a match that Welling just about deserved to win. 0-0 would probably have been the right score, except for their third goal which was real football. Slick passiong on the deck and good movement. Other than that, Welling were much better at playing the referee. We had f...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

I am able to get to the ground this weekend for what will only be my second game of the season. It is the FA Cup and I still dream that one day I may see the Darts beat a league team. I get the feeling that it is unlikely to be this season, but you never know. I will be there on Saturday and will be...

Re: FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Dartford v Welling Sat 16 Sep 2023

It will be interesting to see if we can field a full team and bench for this match. I am assuming that some, if not all of the loan players, will not be playing in this match. I fear that there will be a huge amount riding on the result of this match. At least we do not face the ignomy of losing to ...
