Re: Player news
Very positive news from the club today. I wish both these young men a very happy and succesful season and I hope that they help the club return to a higher level of the football pyramid in the near future.

Re: LEAGUE CUP FINAL TOMORROW - Sunday 21 April
I have just seen on the league web site that the ladies won 5-1 today against Saltdean United in the cup final. Congratulations ladies. What a great effort. How marvellous that we have successful teams across the Dartford family, even if the first XI had a season to forget.

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024
Not at the match, but sadly it sounds as though we are being punished by teams for our mistakes. Just one goal the difference between a promotion hopeful and a relegation candidate. Fine margins. Bus stop will be celebrating tonight. They are now mathematically safe, although I think most people con...

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024
Unusually, I have just watched the highlights. I believe that the challenge that put Block out of the match would normally have been worthy of a yellow card, but this ref and the linesman saw nothing wrong with it and no free kick was given. They also both saw nothing wrong with the blatent handball...

Re: John Stevens Home Player of the Year voting
One of those votes where there are so many candidates (how many players have we used this year), yet there is so little choice.

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024
What a dreadful afternoon. Three squads on the pitch, all of whom should be facing relegation. Yes, I include the refereee in that assessment, truely appalling. Having seen a few games since Christmas, I am of the opinion that we are doomed to relegation, even though the mathematics suggest that the...

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024
Hoping for a big crowd, a cracking atmosphere and three points today. Would happily sacrifice the first two for the points. I don't really care if it is just me, one other and a dog in the ground come 3PM, as long as we WIN!

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024
Looking as though we may be in a three way fight for one place of safety. Truro's late winner against Slough has given them a very big boost. Choose two for relegation from Eastbourne, Taunton and us. No pressure on Monday, then.

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024
Not yet half-time and it is a damage limitaion exercise. Hopefully we can keep all eleven on the pitch today, although I fear that it will not make a great deal of difference. Did not expect anything from the match today, but the commentary suggests that we are struggling to produce anyhting of note...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 26 Mar 2024
I think that we have to accept that if we survive this season, it will not be known until the final whistle has been blown in the final match. Our salvation may well be the fixture backlog of Truro, who now play three matches every eight days until we meet again. We will have to hope that they lose ...

Re: RIP Dave Skinner
Not sure what can be added to the numerous tributes that have been made already. Dave was one of the small group of fans that made it their business to save our club and to restore it to its rightful place towards the top of non-league football in this country. I knew Dave for many years, but never ...

Re: Change of admission 20/03/2024
I welcome this decision and hope that it helps to improve the atmosphere at the ground for the critical remaining fixtures. We have to get behind all eleven players on the pitch throughout the match, whether they are favourites of ours or not. It is likely that there will be major changes in the pla...

Re: News from around the National League South
Truro really are beginning to face a fixture issue. They have thirteen games to play and I believe that Saturday 20 April is due to be the last date for fixtures, unless an extension is granted. However, the play-off contenders need to be considered, especially if any of them are due to play Truro s...

Re: News from around the National League South
Firstly, I hope that the player involved is OK and makes a full recovery. I recall an away game in Kent against a team in yellow many years ago when the ref was pursuaded to abandon a game late in the second half with our opponents down to ten men and Dartford one goal to the good. The pitch was wet...

Re: Kent Senior Cup semi-final Dartford v Maidstone Tue 19 Mar 2024
It must be an important game. Olly Box makes the starting line up. Pity Saturday passed without him stepping onto the pitch. Not sure what he will have to do to show that he should start on Saturday, but I hope he manages it. The way our luck is currently, I fear he may be injured tonight. Currently...

Sadly will miss the return of the Messiah as I will be in the wetlands of Devon and Cornwall campaigning the new rally car. Hoping for some good news come 5PM to make the long journey home a little more pleasant.

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024
I feel that we matched our opponents in the first half before one lapse in concentration spoiled what had been a good half of football. It was a little physical, but the ref let it run and no cards were shown. For a derby match, it was rather tame. What happened during the interval? Was the ref swap...

Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024
Why are we not able to keep eleven players on the pitch whilst desperate for points? It appears as though we are in a self-destruction mode.
Annoying to say the least.
