What I meant to say is that first and second SHOULD be promoted whilst those below play off for a third spot. Having just one team automatically promoted is ludicrous.

Perhaps it’s not all bad news. From next season, in steps 3 and 4, play off places will be extended to 7th position. No more worrying about grabbing that 5th spot. That should please the board …
