Re: News from around the National League South
Chelmo choking yet another playoff right after hitting the resuscitate button and Maidstone getting an 89th minute heartbreak, our seasonus horribilis just got that little bit less terrible!

Re: Irving takes inspiration 26/04/2024
An incident at the Truro game summed up this attitude perfectly, when some foolish plonker amongst a large group of youngsters threw a screwed up piece of paper onto the pitch and the steward reacted by saying if he found out who did it, he would "throw the whole lot of them out". Now apa...

Hi all. 11th hour reminder of this.
Weather not looking the best, but it doesn’t put us off our football. And I can personally guarantee Darts won’t lose!
Be good to see you there.

Something to do with not being able to guarantee 10 years tenure at the International Stadium, a requirement of the EFL.Lars Resort wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 5:45 pm Apparently Gateshead have been denied the chance to play in the play offs.
Does make a mockery of teams without a stadium at all.

Broadly agree with that retention list Dave. I read with interest on Rick’s site that Tommy Block made 17 starts this season, which is more than Alex Wall! I only remember seeing him a couple of times, can’t imagine he finished many of those games. Luke Allen hasn’t worked out at Dartford IMO. Perha...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS
PP was opened as an ‘alcohol-free stadium’. Don’t really know why, maybe because most (all?) premier league / championship / league 1 / league 2 stadia are 0.0 abv affairs and it was once thought once upon a time that we would almost aspire to be amongst them. However, we are absolutely nowhere near...

Could be a single-figure representation from our visitors today. They’ve done enough travelling to their home games!
Still think there could be value in finishing 21st for this reason.

Once in a blue moon I come out with something worth listening to! Didn’t realise Serena Williams was at Borehamwood and therefore in goal against his old club.
Edit - just looked and he’s been there five years Shows what amount of involvement we’ve had at that level recently

Re: News from around the National League South
Not that it’s going to affect us, but the battle for survival in the NL will be interesting tomorrow with all games kicking off at 12:15 and one of Woking, Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet, Borehamwood or York City to join beleaguered Oxford City, Dorking and Kidderminster (our empaths).

Re: Dartford v Truro City Sat 20 Apr 2024
DFC should be making every effort to win this. Should Taunton lose against WSM tonight then fail to beat Hemel on Saturday, three points would see us finish 21st and in with a slim chance of a reprieve if Truro are (rightfully) kicked out of the National League for having no ground. All ifs and mayb...

Re: London Senior Cup Quarter Final - Cray Wanderers v Dartford Tue 16 Apr 2024
I felt we were the better side overall and deserved the win. The young academy lads did well and to be fair everyone can be pleased with their performance. We won and i was there so i'm enjoying it.... And then on to Hendon next week. The first time I saw Rob Haworth play was at Hendon First ...

Re: The state of Dartford football club
Should we expect some sort of announcement from the club regarding our relegation? Personally I would expect something apart from thanking the fans for attending despite the poor season we have had, so fans can buy into next season - the sooner the better IMO Ha ha! Fifteen days late with that one ...

Re: The state of Dartford football club
Every season, one or two teams get a good result and their fans will say “that’s the worst Dartford side I’ve seen for ages / ever seen”. Of course, it’s fine to say these things, but the chances are that we will have had an off day and / or the other side has turned up and played a blinder. This se...

Re: Yeovil Town v Dartford Sat 13 Apr 2024
Total walk in the park for Yeovil. They had a slew of chances towards the end, so considering the penalty it was a surprise that they only scored three. It was two sides at least one division apart already. My vote went to Byrne who was excellent. Yes, we put on a bit of pressure for ten minutes as ...

This is nuts. There must be a reason. Never known the bar to be closed during ‘normal’ hours. Covering for the Samaritans?
