Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
Also, on a less frivolous note, the A2 has been closed since 11pm last night owing to a serious incident. It’s expected to reopen at 10am, however it will be worth considering the M20 for anyone travelling by road. Check your route.

Only a madman would predict this one.

Anyone know if we are allowed a cup of tea at Crabble or is it just dust and bin juice like last season?

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
Utter garbage. Didn’t get there until after half eight, so apparently missed the all good stuff as usual. Last time I saw a decent performance was the 2-2 draw against Yeovil back when I was single. Portent or what? Really not sure if this group of players would hold up in the Isthmian Premier, ther...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024
For various reasons I’ve only seen two games this year (WSM away & Weymouth), so looking forward to tomorrow’s clash with Chippenham under the lights. Was the last time they visited PP midweek our penalty bail-out in the playoffs? No point in making predictions, I’ll just enjoy seeing the DFC fa...

OMG, that takes some real dedication and commitment.
Remember first moving to Dartford and hearing pissed up Millwall fans in the Railway Tavern singing vile songs about the Munich air disaster, printing pictures is another level.
Disgusting.

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024
I make that 2 points from our last 6 games, which could possibly put us at the bottom of the form guide. Yep: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league-south/form-guide … and those two draws could be replaced by two losses in the next seven days. Hopefully not, but things do not look good ...

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024
Penalty ought to have been retaken as there is clear encroachment. Farnborough second goal - as PL states - could have been chalked off for offside, although this is slightly clutching at straws.
Quite glad we have the London Cup game on Tuesday as I feel we are capable of turning a corner now.

Re: Farnborough v Dartford Sat 3 Feb 2024
Nice to hear some positivity from you in the wake of Dowson SD, but if you think out fate is based on beating four specific teams - no matter where they sit in the table - then I think the writing is on the Wall… We’ll certainly need to win a few games - and avoid defeat in a few more - to avoid the...

Speculation would’ve been rife had Bloor ‘left’, but he has definitely been sacked. Interesting move after their win at Hemel yesterday! The Futures White wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2024 10:34 am Welling have sacked manager Danny Bloor.....and their fans are far from happy about it!.

Re: Dartford v Weymouth Sat 27 Jan 2024
Even with no voice, TB is easier to understand and simply a better listen than the Geordie. The damage has been dealt to us though, we need about 14 points from sixteen games which is not a given. Welling, Havant, Dover and Eastbourne will scrap for their lives to maintain National League status, Tr...

Re: Dartford v Weymouth Sat 27 Jan 2024
Also looking forward to getting back to PP. With suppressed expectations though, there is no way things on the pitch can vastly change with the same playing staff. I’m still slightly surprised the board acted when they did, hopefully the adage “a change is as good as a rest” comes to fruition and so...

Maidstone are having to renew theirs at the end of this season for the princely sum of £500k. Where will they find that sort of cash?Lars Resort wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 2:09 pm I agree wholeheartedly with Sittingbourne manager Ryan Maxwell that a 3G pitch gives those clubs that have them 12-15 points a season.

Re: News from around the National League South
I remember the Nuneaton Town / Borough situation being explained back when we were locking horns last (10+ years ago!), but it was a bit confusing then. Awful for the fans, as I said under Dowson things were far from ideal but certainly could be worse.

Re: Maidstone v Dartford Tue 9 Jan 2024
Miller-Rodney will not get a better chance to put a local derby to bed. Kamikaze defending by Maidstone leading up to that one.
Also, M1 - you were quite right, the winning goal is courtesy of Matt Rush’s forearm.
They’ve got away with that one, the bastards.
