In no shape or form can I see us making a swift return to the National South.
But if it means the manager is given the time to build a team in the mould of Bradbrook, Burns, Harris and Noble etc then the best things are worth waiting for.

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS
Well done KingKong for uploading the article on Lewes FC. A club like Bromley and Dulwich who do things the right way. I was a regular visitor to the Dripping Pan a few years ago watching the women's team while claiming the occasional free drink using their match day loyalty cards. The policy of equ...

Apart from Tom Bonner we've had no potential club legends playing for the club these past few years.
It's going to take more than next season to get back anything near to what we've lost.

4-3 thriller my arse. The late penalty save by the geezer between the sticks has probably cheated our women out of the title.
Saltdean should be kicked out of the league.

To expect the players to beat their personal best by winning two games in a row this year is asking a lot.

Re: Yeovil Town v Dartford Sat 13 Apr 2024
There's been so many fans from other National League South clubs who, apart from a few who are finding it absolutely hilarious, are genuinely gob-smacked by our demise. They can't understand how this club has gone from being habitual play-off contenders to third from bottom after finishing second la...

Re: Player news
Never mind the managers, the 2 year contracts should be going to our talented youngsters. It will be harder to keep Olly Box anyway now. He's clearly good enough for this level but ofcourse we'll no longer be there after our final game against Truro City next week. It would be nice to see Olly go to...

Re: Yeovil Town v Dartford Sat 13 Apr 2024
I didn't travel to Somerset yesterday. It was already done and dusted. Being a nice day I had a leisurely stroll through the park and around lakes, then headed up to Princess Park for a few beers. Despite being advertised as being open 7 days a week the bar was closed. where is Princess Park? is th...

Slight exaggeration - it’s not as grim as Stanley Park or Luton. Does look a bit nicer in the sun, still not much libation opportunity though. Depends how much you like Wetherspoon really! Found a few fellow Darts out and about, be nice to think we might get 100 here today and hopefully make a game...

Re: Yeovil Town v Dartford Sat 13 Apr 2024
I doubt if the team would have been celebrating after Thursday considering they were away. So I don't expect there'll be any hangovers. They'll be saving it all for today. The question is, can we gatecrash the party? We did it at Stockport once infront of 6000 spectators, although granted we had a v...

If we do get relegated and please note I'm still using the word 'if', even though it's extremely likely now, then maybe the club shop should start stocking up on Dartford C&D FC (Community & Development) ear plugs for next season. Because all we're gonna hear from away fans is "Your gro...

Re: Player news
So Olly Box was handed a first team contract ahead of the 2023/24 season. Then shipped off to Margate and had to wait until February before breaking into the first team following the departure of a manager who always said if the youngsters are good enough they're in. The teams been struggling all bl...

What's a Premiere League ground? If Fulham were still in the Championship their's probably wouldn't be referred to as such. The reference to Luton being that not so long ago they were a National League outfit yet is their club a Premiere League ground? Yes, but only while they're in it. So let's not...

Re: The state of Dartford football club
If we've lost over £70,000 last year which will be the financial year ending April 2023 then I wonder what the losses will be for this year ending April 2024. And what percentage of that could be down to ill-informed and badly timed decisions? Paying up the remaining months of Mr. Dowson's contract ...

Under the present structure with the old guard still at the helm, enjoying life as privileged fans, we were never going anywhere. Not unless a day out down the coast involving a piss up in the biggest Wetherspoons pub in the country is classified as going somewhere. I submitted a post earlier in the...
