Re: Fa Trophy 5th round Needham Market v Dartford Sat 12 Feb 2022
We were absolutely outplayed from start to finish ,so no excuses . I can go on about the referee and linesman being home bias but that won’t retract from the fact of us being poor throughout . Move on : another forgettable trip to Suffolk . Next season we'll reach the first round of the FA Cup, dra...

Looks like we'll be making the front pages of the Non-League Paper tomorrow then.
Albeit for the wrong bloody reasons.

Re: Dartford v Welling United Sat 5 Feb 2022
Just before kick off someone asked me who the new guy was at the back. I replied Kory Roberts, a great signing from Bromley who has settled in well, a good reader of the game, with great composure on the ball. Fast forward to 19 minutes on the score board, by which time I was feeling like a comedian...

Re: Dartford v Ebbsfleet Tue 1 Feb 2022
Steve King always gives credit to the opposition where it's due. Puts other managers to shame. As for Tom Bonner being a pub team player. Don't make me laugh. Their fans just got the hump because in order to run down the clock he booted the ball out of the stadium into the Ivy Leaf car park. It's ca...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 29 Jan 2022
MOM Danny Leonard for me. Two great goals as well as bravely earning the free kick, which unfortunately lead to his early departure before being brilliantly converted by Jebb. Also a sound debut from Kory Roberts who looked comfortable on ball. A welcome and potentially valuable 3 points on the road...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 29 Jan 2022
And the drama of that infamous 3-2 defeat at Tonbridge didn't end at the final whistle either. As for the stringent budget Steve King has to work under it sounds like our "undisclosed" transfer policy doesn't help matters. If Noor Hussain has gone on the cheap, as suggested, then forget br...

Re: Dartford v Concord Rangers Tue 25 Jan 2022 - KO 7.45
Following the stats on Skybet didn't make good reading. Concord had the majority of possession throughout the game, 10 more dangerous attacks than Darts, 6 shots on target to our 2, shots off target by the same ratio, 8 corners to our 1, all by the time the clock entered the 86th minute. I couldn't ...

Re: Dartford v Hampton & Richmond Sat 22nd Jan 2022 - 3pm
I sincerely hope Steve King got a decent deal with Southend United for Noor, who we sorely missed today.
If not, and the deal was brokered by the old guard, then John Still has probably got him for next to nothing.
If that's the case, then don't be surprised if SK moves on to pastures new next season.

Dan Wilks MOTM for me. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have snatched a draw from the jaws of victory, but the lost the bloody game altogether!

Re: Player news
If Noor has gone for around £35,000, which isn't a lot in this day and age, I hope there are some realistic add-ons attached to the deal relating to first team appearances and goals including a decent sell-on percentage fee.

MOTM a no brainer for me. What a safe pair of hands Wilks was today!
To have cemented his place infront of who is now our ex-England C keeper has been no mean feat either.

The only thing that's certain in football is the uncertainty.
Which is why we're all addicted.
And why you never see a poor bookie.

After keeping an eye on the as good as redundant DFC website, I've just seen on twitter the rearranged home fixture with Ebbsfleet is to be played Tuesday 1st February.

Re: Ebbsfleet v Dartford Sun 2nd January 2022
The current form guide based on the the last six games has us in 12th place. So a little bit more work required between now and the end of the season. The league leaders will change hands several times during the campaign which shows just how competitive it is. After Maidstone it'll probably be Dork...

Re: Braintree v Dartford Tue 28 Dec 2021 at 3pm
If they wasn't affiliated to the BBC I would be inclined to feel sorry for Radio Kent if they were tasked with the ordeal of reporting on a Darts match for a full 90 minutes. The last time I listened to a live commentary on one of our matches by them, we fielded 4 players who no one had ever heard o...

Re: Dartford v Ebbsfleet Sun 26 Dec 2021 - Postponed
Ebbsfleet United. The isolation mathematicians. Why the bloody hell leave it until the day before Xmas Eve to pull out then, by which time even more tickets would have been sold on-line. Our two biggest Kent rivals have really excelled themselves in the popularity stakes this season. I really don't ...

Re: Dartford v Ebbsfleet Sun 26 Dec 2021 - Postponed
Though not knowing how many players affected, I'm surprised with ££££fleets full-time large squad they can't assemble a team on Sunday. One thing for sure even without restrictions a potential 3000 on Sunday will now be nearer 2000 on a cold Tuesday night. And if the Muppet implements further covid...
