Re: Goal of the Season 22/23

I've seen a couple of worldies at Princes Park this season.
Unfortunately they weren't scored by us though.

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sun 7 May 2023 @ 12.30

The three things that sums up our season are as follows:

1. Too many soft goals conceded.
2. The ratio between chances created and converted unacceptable.
3. The general standard of refereeing in the National South piss poor.

Re: Dartford v St Albans City Sun 7 May 2023 @ 12.30

Unless we can attract more investment into the club to enable Dowse to get the players he wants, we'll just be making up the numbers again.
Otherwise it looks like Eastbourne will be the new NS Ebbs££fleet, boarding the runaway train next season.

The final whistle blows and the French survive.

Shame the Dartford Vets got relegated though.

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Sounds like we're going through the motions again. Someone, somewhere within the club is stinking the place out. Ambition and desire comes from the top downwards. Steve King and Alan Dowson are currently two of the top managers at this level. Dowson looked a broken man during last nights post-match ...

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Unfortunately, although it may flatter to deceive throughout the season, come that final whistle blown at those final games up and down the country, is when the table never lies. In our case the footballing Gods, after a long and arduous 8 months of deliberation, will finally announce their verdict ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

I'm not going to harp on about our general performance as it's already been said. Suffice to say we seem to live on our reputation as runners up. Teams come to Princes Park under the illusion that we are not in second place for nothing. Then within the first 15 minutes they realise things are not as...

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

I don't know if anyone else has heard anything but I was recently asked by a reliable source if I had heard anything about the proposed developement of Princes Park next summer. Apparently they had received notice of planning permission submitted by the club for ground improvements. While this, for ...

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

Good luck to the team this afternoon. I was planning to make the trip on my mountain bike today. I did enquire earlier in the week to see if there was anyehere I could safely leave my bike at the ground. Unfortunately the chairman of EBFC didn't get back to me. So, instead of being 2 hours into the ...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 1 Apr 2023

I thought the balance of the team was a massive improvement on last week. It was good to see Jermaine Meade return to leftback and smart to move Sam Oduadu into a physical presence in midfield. Great to see Alex Wall and Harvey Bradbury upfront together. Double trouble for any defence. I was also im...

Dartford v Millwall league 2/4/23. Ft 2-3

I thought Darts were the better side in the first half and could have been 2 up before taking the lead. Unfortunately, despite restricting the visitors to very few chances, they went into the break 2-1 down after conceding a penalty, galvanizing the scorer into bagging a well taken second, from open...

Re: Dartford v Chelmsford City Sat 25 Mar 2023

After some well executed sloppy build-up play we somehow managed to force Chelmsford into a rare mistake and found ourselves 1-0 up before the break. Terrifyingly, the prospect of our exit from the National League South at the end of the season was looming ever nearer. In the second half we upped th...

Re: Dartford v Farnborough Sat 11 Mar 2023

There would have been several contenders for MOTM if it wasn't for one man standing slightly head and shoulders above the rest. Luke Coulson's composure infront of goal, leaving two opponents on their backsides including the keeper in the process, was pure class in scoring that all in important seco...

Which proves you don't have to be fulltime to win this league.
Most semi- pro players look after themselves in their own time.
The difference between Havant and Ebbsfleet is the latter is simply technically better.

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

No excuses next season. Alan Dowson will have a full pre-season to assemble a Championship winning squad. Apparently we have good players but truly good players consistently perform week in week out. There were two outstanding teams in this league last season. The football might not have always been...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

I am looking for a volunteer in the National South to join Ebbsfleet United in the National League next season. This in turn will save our supporters the cost of throwing more money down the drain, being taken for a ride on expensive away days and not just by King's Ferry either. Should your club be...

Re: News from around the National League South

That's a stange one. Jason didn't want to leave Dorking in the first place. It was the travelling in conflict with his off field committments preventing from playing in the National League
I wonder what the club's paying him to help maintain their current status.

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 14 Jan 2023

Hemel had a twelfth man today. Alex Wall blatantly bundled over in the box. No penalty. This was soon followed by an innocuous snowflake challenge at the other end of the field. Foul given by the their number 12 in the black. Napa then tripped infront of the referee. The only mistake Napa made was t...

The National League South title will then be ours to lose.

Fantastic result. Wished I was there. Already purchased my e-ticket for New Years Day. Found myself following the game in the pub instead. Although that was a joke as last orders was 4pm despite more customers arriving 20 minutes beforehand. I even bought the Welsh lackie behind the bar a pint at 4p...
