Re: Braintree Town v Dartford Tue 12 Mar 2024

I've done some high level technical research and it seems to me that our failures are the result of two major problems. It's a bit technical, so I hope it doesn't go over anyone's head. 1. We don't score enough goals. 2. We let too many goals in. Further analysis of these problems has led me to the...

Re: News from around the National League South

Well. It's all confirmed on the National League website, and their latest league table shows the 10 points deducted from Torquay.

Re: Last 10 games

Agree with you on 98% of things in your post Spike except one win would put Eastbourne very much in contact with the mix. They are putting results together and if they keep on doing so it may put them well up the table.and us, sadly, even deeper in the mire. As said, it is difficult to see where ou...

Re: Torquay Utd v Dartford Sat 9 Mar 2024

I listened to the match commentary on BBC Devon Live (thank you Clare) which I thought was pretty unbiased and gave a feel for the game, and indeed it seemed it was nearly all Darts in that first half. I was really looking forward to the same again in the 2nd half, but was totally flabbergasted to s...

Re: New Manager.

Well welcome to DFC, Andy Pennock. I really had no idea who might become our new manager as I am out of touch with the southern area as regards some of the names which had been mentioned. So I have just been awaiting the appointment. I truly believe TB was more deserving of getting points on the boa...

Re: Dartford v Aveley - Tue 27 Feb 2024

I’ve persuaded myself to venture down to PP for this relegation / play off battle. At the beginning of the season most observers would have expected the positions of the respective clubs, at this stage of the season, to be reversed. How wrong were they! I’m reliably informed that performances have ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024

Really great to be back at PP and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with so many faces during my visit. Delighted to have the opportunity to meet Will Bass at his commentary point. Also to meet up again and have a chat with John Morton, our 1974 keeper at Wembley. I also took the opportunity to take up...

Re: Slough Town v Dartford Tue 20 Feb 2024

I agree with you 5th, and like you, only able to tell from the highlights. Yes, there was an attempted tug on the shirt, but it didn't stop the momentum of the forward, and as you say, run was covered by Rooney. I would have thought there were grounds for an appeal, to be fair. Similarly, I couldn't...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town Sat 24 Feb 2024

Rail tickets from Liverpool now bought, season ticket in my wallet, so all prepared for my trip down for this game. Seeing comments on another site about traffic delays due to road works in the area of DVH and A2, can anybody advise whether the FastTrack services from the station are being affected ...

Re: Slough Town v Dartford Tue 20 Feb 2024

Slough are actually the 2nd highest goalscorer with 63 goals, but they have conceded 55, which is the 5th worst in the league. Seems there could be more goals from both sides.

Hadn't realised their manager Scott Davies is player-manager.

Once again, well done to young Olly Box so far.

Re: Slough Town v Dartford Tue 20 Feb 2024

And I will be listening into the commentary Park Life, whether that be the Slough feed as listed, or Will Bass if he is in attendance.

I'm also looking at coming down to PP for Saturday's game v Taunton, providing all the transport links are in place. I need a PP fix!!

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024

I was holding back before posting in order to have a look at the match highlights. There's no doubt Will Bass and his commentaries really give a good feel as to how the Darts are performing. We have been so close in recent games at getting something out of the games, so absolutely delighted that we ...

Delighted for young Ollie Box. Always trying to bring something to the game highlights and commentaries I have seen and listened to, and for me, thoroughly deserved for his efforts.

Now please Darts, let's push on.

Sanity restored!! Thanks Rick for the quick response!

Thankfully, we still have Will Bass to listen to!!

Let's hope the airways bring noise from the fans celebrating a goal or two. The lads deserve it.

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Town Tue 13 Feb 2024

I'm getting very confused!!! I looked earlier in the day at the nationalleaguetv.org website to see if this game might be televised, but it didn't show on their schedule. A link has appeared at the top of this post courtesy of Rick, and Dorset Dart says he will be tuning into the streamed game tonig...

Re: Bath City v Dartford Sat 10 Feb 2024

The live commentary seemed to suggest a game of 2 halves, and so the highlights have shown that to be true. The Darts really deserved to have come out of that game with at least a point, especially given that Bath are challenging up near the top. So many chances created, especially after the TB half...
