Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Does anyone remember Roger Keen our goalkeeper back in the 70's. If so, can you give me a little information on him? I have a neighbour who having found out a I was a supporter, suddenly sprung it on me that Roger is her Nephew. She says he now lives in Poole. I do remember him playing but have pas...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Good luck to Jebb, I wouldn't mind swapping him out with Darren Oldaker. As for Wilks, if Welling sign him ahead of us then it can only be for more dosh. Looks like our friends from the Bustop will be looking at the playoffs next season.

Re: NEW FIRST TEAM MANAGER: ALAN DOWSON
I'm going to be optimistic and say that TB and the board have already spoken with most of the players and that we will see quite a few remain with the club.

Re: Who do the real Dartford Fans want as the new Manager ?
Alan Dowson or Chris Kinnear for me, both have great contacts and develop young players. We need a manager with the emphasis on a team ethic. If we decide on a young manager, who can help develop our academy, then I would go for Bobby Wilkinson.

Re: Steve King
I'm still gobsmacked that SK has gone but I do trust our excellent board to make the correct call, in the best interests of our great club. I have known some of these guys for over 40 years and they would not have come to this decision without good reason. For them to come to this decision, in such ...

Re: Steve King
King's contract ran until the end of the 23/24 season, so there must have been a seriously good reason to sack him. Obviously we aren't privy to what's gone on behind the scenes (until the club's further statement), but purely based on performances I think this is a harsh dismissal. King's league r...

Re: Steve King
Hess has not been replaced, he is still their manager. I just pointed out that their website had listed Dowson as manager. I think someone was on a wind-up.ozymandias wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 4:50 pm More surprised that Hess has been replaced than Kingy has gone. But 2+2 still equals 3 in my opinion as regards that.

Re: Steve King
I thought Andy Hessenthaler was Dover manager https://www.doverathletic.com/staff/andy-hessenthaler/ No idea who it is going to be, whoever it is won't have the player contacts as well as King does so we are going to lose the majoirty of our squad and it's going to be one hell of a rebuild. So did ...
