Re: Chippenham v Dartford Sat 12 Mar 2022

Well, talk about after the Lord Mayor's show. Which obviously plays right into the hands of our beloved whinger. Getting Murtagh sent off didn't help the situation but our season is up and down so much that the word 'consistency'' is not in our dictionary. As said earlier, we have to keep wi...

Re: Chippenham v Dartford Sat 12 Mar 2022

Chips played very well at our place and are a team to watch. I'm hoping there's a buzz within the team to get us through this game. Not being over confident but we have to maintain a winning mode to stop the likes of teams behind.
And no, M1, I'm not buying a house in Chippenham. :D

Just down the road for me so I will join you. Greenidge looks immense and would probably help Ade's game.
I do feel Danny Leonard has to start on Saturday.

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

I was just about to say that the problem at Maidstone is similar to ours and it does mainly stem from the youth of today. Not tarring the youth Spike with the same brush but if they are the future

Re: Dover match preview

They may be down and out but Hess has got a good little side there, obviously not National League material, but NS maybe. They have a winger who's on loan from Kings Lynn, Gyasi, bloody fast. :)

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

Loved watching that again. Ody's run down the right in the first half, excellent. Jayden's terrific performance for us. George's goals, Kalvin's second half. The ref giving a free kick when he had his back to the incident involving George. How he could have given that was beyond me and the the silly...

Re: Player news

George came over to where I was at the end of the game, he obviously had friends there. I was about three feet away. The look on his face told me he was buzzing from that performance, his own as well as the teams. :D

Re: Kent Senior Cup 2nd round Dartford v Dover Tue 8th March 2022

When I went down to see Dover play Southend many of the fans were resigned to the fact that they were relegated and that was over a month ago.

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

Great performances all over the pitch and not just from our lads. Front line was excellent throughout and three cracking goals to beat them. First time I'd seen Ody Alfa play and I thought he had a cracking first half. Two cracking goals from George and a perfect finish from Marcus. Second half for ...

Jayden had a great game yesterday and it was the first time I've seen Ody who I thought had a tremendous first half.

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

In light of what is going on, on our doorstep I do regard myself as (at the moment) a very lucky man to be able to get in my car and travel the 50 miles up to the ground and watch a game. Yes, it's a very important game for both teams and ordinarily I would be a tad excited (not good for a man my ag...

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

This will sort out our season. I strongly advise, we win to keep up. Hopefully we will get it. Obviously, Dorking are in a rich vein of form.

Re: News from around the National League South

I think Duke that Ebbsfleet can be easily regarded as an ordinary also-ran side considering what is going on there and for all their shouting. Maidstone look strong even though they lost to Dorking yesterday. Oxford City looked okay to me, again, considering they lost Oldfield to Weymouth there has ...

Here's something for the oldies. I went to the Suzuki showroom in Canterbury today. I was wearing my Dart's scarf and the Sales executive I was talking to asked 'what's the football scarf?' He could only see 'ford'. I told him, pulling it out of my coat, His name is Chris Crabb and he said both his ...

Thanks for the highlights Steve. Love Marcus's direct approach to the goal and Danny Leonard, what was he doing in Kent League? The boy's a wizard and I'm sure he will be going places. :D
