Re: News from around the National League South

Where is our current league form position Duke? I wouldn't start worrying about Havant's, If they slip out of the playoffs. Good. :D

Re: Hungerford Town v Dartford Tue 7 Mar 2023

Hitchin, you'd like to think we'd go on a run of some sort wouldn't you? Again, we've got away with murder, another below par performance and but for a late goal at Oxford our 5 point gap stays the same. Is it going to last? Farnborough's a big ask on that point, as said they play well away from hom...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

My sentiments entirely Tony, but you get used to it after a while. :D
Where is the town hall? Remind me.
Last time I was in Dartford was for a show at the Orchard, I think I came in at the arse end of town. But it all looked the same. Not somewhere I recognise now.

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

Tony, I agree with your second part in a way. At the start of the season I said that Havant would be up there and that Worthing were going to be the 'dark horses'. Both have proved true to some extent. I agree that maybe Braintree are the form team at the moment but as said, next Saturday we enterta...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

Tony H, I don't think you're being cheeky or disrespectful at all. You only stated what I'd been saying for a while. How we amassed the points before Christmas is beyond me, but then to play as we did AT Christmas I started to believe in something. And yes, for the way the chasing pact have failed t...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

I've seen the Bobby Wilkinson interview and I've seen Tom Blair's. Wilko thinks we will get promoted, Blair rates us but they 'blew us away, second half'. All the good vibes re Dartford FC comes from the opposition. Nothing but negativity from the Dartford camp. Dowse frustrated and a team that have...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 4 Mar 2023

I find this all very disappointing. We seemed to have peaked at Christmas. After Dowse gave us all the best Christmas for years, I don't know what he can make of the latest debacle or what his excuse can be for today's effort (or lack of). He's bought three signings in that have made no impact at al...

Re: News from around the National League South

Seems that Doswell spoke out of turn. Suspension and education, hmm. I like Dennis Kutreib, he talks a lot of drivel as does Doswell, especially regarding matches against us. I'm grateful we have a manager no one can understand. At least Dowse might not get into any trouble with the FA. :D To each h...

Yet another tough game for a side not firing on all cylinders, still, Weymouth shouldn't take us lightly. ;)

Taunton, we've already ascertained that a certain person on here is exactly what you say. Don't bite, there are a few on here that already chew.

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 25 Feb 2023

Of course someone has had a word with Alex SD, Dennis Kurtreib. As for being an potential manager surely putting two strikers on the pitch would have shown Oxford City that we were interested. I have no doubt that Dowse has been there and got the T shirt, so I will leave it up to him. Lets hope we h...

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 25 Feb 2023

When I saw the starting 11 I thought that if we can contain City it had 0-0 written all over it. Any one of the four substitutes would have livened up our 'attack, in fact Dan could have done it.' Surely Pierre would have worked better with Alex and given Oxford something to think about. But I saw n...

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 25 Feb 2023

No, we are not underdogs by a long way. We are playing good football all over the pitch, we just that killer touch in front of goal. Interested whether Dowse will play Ben or Dan in goal? I'm sure Ben's howler Saturday is a one-off. :o

Need to get our shooting boots on for Saturday. Played some good stuff going forward and Keiran had the two best chances, fortunately one went in.

Re: Player news

Having had Cameron's loan spell extended to the end of the season it suggests that this isn't anything to do with Dowse. To get him back and then send him back out to Ashford on loan, suggests that Margate's new management didn't want him. Maybe.??

Re: Dartford v Slough Town Tue 21 Feb 2023

One would like to think we'll get a win tonight but will certainly have to UP our game. I presume that Alex will be playing tonight and he will hopefully add some firepower up front.

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Lots going on at Faversham's ground. Some money going in there and they are turning to a 3G surface. Just hope they don't drop back into the Kent League or whatever they call it now. Sammy Moore (manager) came out of retirement and is playing at the back for them, I believe he's 46 years old. He als...

Re: Player news

That's interesting seeing as Cameron's loan spell was extended to the end of the season at Margate :?
