Re: News from around the National League South

I see Welling are having a12.00 pitch inspection today re their game tomorrow v Truro giving any away fans as much notice as possible?? Shame Truro themselves didn’t think about that Tuesday evening!! Welling should just leave any inspection to one hour before kick off tomorrow & blame any poss...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 16 Jan 2024 - POSTPONED

TB's kentonline interview:- https://www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford/sport/it-doesn-t-have-to-happen-darts-boss-on-wasted-truro-tri-300197/ Dartford caretaker boss Tony Burman felt a lot of aggravation could have been saved after their game at Truro was called off just over an hour before kick-off on T...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

The manager has gone so it's always likely that some players will go as well, but I don't believe for one minute it has anything to do with balancing the books. After all it is a fact our board know how to look after the purse strings and whilst we will have a financial obligation to our ex manager,...

Re: Dartford Players of The Past

Even though i thought Harvey had all the attributes to be a good player this news has not disappointed me as much as i thought it would. It was quite clear in recent games that he wasn't happy and this reflected in his performances and especially conduct on the field. Add to that the bloody ridiculo...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 16 Jan 2024

Absolute joke, there's no way they had an inspection this morning.
If they did get the ref who did the inspection to come out and say how the pitch was playable then but after no frost all day it's not know.

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 16 Jan 2024

If they had an inspection this morning and we've not had freezing temperatures since how the hell has the pitch frozen since then. Absolute F*****G disgraceful decision. Feel sorry for the players, officials and supporters who made the trip and have been well and truly shafted. TRURO FC, you are a j...

Re: News from around the National League South

I should think there will be plenty of interest - first statement from the board should be, the budget is X and always likely to be X until we can raise more cash through the gate and additional sponsorship. COYD Agree, I'm confident we'll get plenty of interest. As for that statement, trust me tha...

Re: Truro City v Dartford Tue 16 Jan 2024

Can't make this one but agree with Spike, i feel a lot happier now and looking forward to the games again. This is a real tough one for TB to start with, a really long midweek trip and a squad seriously lacking competition in certain areas. As far as i'm aware, excluding the academy lads we only hav...

Re: Alan Dowson sacked

Everyone going well done board for being brave and sacking him , but who is getting sacked on board for giving him a two year contract? He may have a two year contract but like previous managers i'd be very very very very very very very very surprised if there wasn't a much shorter notice period. A...

Agree mate, it's not an old pals act.
I'm confident we'll get decent applicants to choose from as we are a much bigger club than we give ourselves credit for.

Re: Alan Dowson sacked

Knowing TB and how he feels about the club I'd be surprised if he's asked for anything. So carry on paying our previous manager his notice period (i would suspect theres an agreement in place as with all managers) and no problems. One thing our club does better than most is balance the books so I do...

Re: Alan Dowson sacked

I have to be honest and say im really pleased with this decision. It had got to the stage where i didn't really want to go to the games anymore. I can't make Truro and had pretty much decided i wasn't going to Bath but now im looking forward to it. Time now for us fans to get behind TB and the team ...

Re: Maidstone v Dartford Tue 9 Jan 2024

"You cant just take a risk and throw money out and hope you get something" I should bloody well hope not, it's called scouting and having good contacts. Makes you wonder what they've done at their previous clubs? "We're working within those guidelines" They're not guidelines, it...

When the players go over to clap the fans at the end and there's only 4 people still there you've got real problems.
