Re: New Manager
I thought he would be good for us but didn’t think he’d leave Margate. Understand why some are unsure but I’m happy with this

Re: Management team - new roles
If both teams are part-time and play/train at different times, I don’t see why they can’t do both. And there’s two of them if there is a rare clash

Re: New Manager
Until a new man comes in each day of no decision is a day wasted and makes job of the new man more difficult
It took us 7 weeks to appoint a manager (who was already available) in the middle of a relegation scrap. I feel like the club are so scared of making the wrong decision that they run out ...

Re: New Manager
Hello, don't hate me but what about the Widderington pair. , Dad and Son Theo?.
We’re still recovering from our last Geordie!
Raises the question though of whether we’d rather have someone who’s been successful at a lower division or someone who’s managed at a higher level but with not much ...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News
No, I mean this season.
Under achieved.
Second season syndrome is about newly-promoted teams that are relatively small for their new division. They have momentum, confidence and a good playing system from their promotion season, and bigger teams underestimate them. After their first season ...

Yea our second season in the conference. It’s quite commonLars Resort wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2026 12:32 pm Do you mean the second season syndrome that we had DoH?
I only base my theory on their performance at PP, the best I'd seen all season. I don't really care who goes up as Billericay seem to be on a roll.

Re: EBBSFLEET VS DARTFORD - AT PRINCES PARK WEDNESDAY?
What’s the situation with remaining games? It looks like we have three to play, but only two fixtures listed (missing SL benfica away)
Also our final game is against league leaders Saltdean but they have another game a week later? Is it just the club/fa website not being updated?
The fixture ...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News
I hope Brentwood get promoted. I enjoyed the shelacking they gave us at PP despite losing in the last minute and the fact that there was talk of their ground being inadequate.
I’m the opposite. Trying to stay in the mix for promotion next season will be difficult enough without Billericay. But ...

Re: Ady Departs
Does anyone know what Ady’s contract situation was? When it was announced last year that he had renewed his contract, it didn’t say for how long.
So either he was still under contract and we should get a fee from Ramsgate
Or his contract was up at the end of the season and he was free to look ...

Re: Ady Departs
Wasting no time thinking about who we might bring in next… I’ll admit I’m not massively clued up in the who’s who of local non league managers but still:
Lee Martin - Currently out of work but not exactly proven in management yet. Sacked from Ramsgate for not using enough of the budget so match ...

Re: Ady Departs
I have mixed feelings about this but it’s probably the right call and at the right time. I wonder if from the wording it was Ady’s decision and not the board’s?
Edit: I only skim-read it the first time… definitely his decision

Re: Chichester City v Dartford Sat 18 Apr 2026
I’ve said before but I don’t believe this trope that the board are happy staying in this league. Making up a five year plan just to hide what they really want? Give it a rest.
If they really do want to take the men’s team full time, that requires saving on the playing budget for several seasons ...
