Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

Unfortunately so many of our older supporters have passed away in recent years, some whom used to undertake voluntary activities to help the club. These haven’t been replaced and we have sadly neglected enticing younger support to fill the void on the terraces. So, whilst we can suggest actions for ...

Re: News from around the National League South

Especially as Hemel's last game (their only one) is away at Taunton! Torquay do have the potential saving grace that their last game is at home to Havant and Waterlooville. Thinking of going to Taunton next Saturday to cheer Dowse on to a double success!!! LOL Is that match actually being played at...

I don’t think Hemel or Torquay are out of the equation either, Kent.

Re: Yeovil Town v Dartford Sat 13 Apr 2024

Yeovil is the most desolate place I have ever visited. Well done to them for winning the league. Was hoping to find a town vibrant with celebration, instead it was like 2020. Whatever happens tomorrow, it would be nice to see a few people celebrating around this boarded-up void of despair which mak...

Re: Player news

I sent Ebou a message on Twitter 5-6 or years back mentioning that he still maintained a photo of his days in the DFC academy on his Twitter page. Said he never forgets his roots and always looks out for the Darts results. I remember TB saying what a lovely fella he was. We certainly could do with a...

Re: The state of Dartford football club

An interesting Twitter post of the benefits that small town Needham Market has derived from its very successful academy system. Needham Market will swap places in the pyramid with Dartford at the season’s end. Whilst we have a thriving academy set up ourselves we hopefully aren’t too big to learn fr...

Re: Dartford v Worthing Tue 9 Apr 2024

Nice to get to the game last night; only my fifth this season plus a couple on the NLTV. It looked like The Darts might get something from the game but once again an individual error cost the team points. That has been the feature in all the other games I’ve witnessed and has been mentioned by just ...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies

Irrespective of what league we are in next season I would like to suggest that only one home game is arranged for purposes of income. The other games home and away should be selected to give us a chance of scoring some goals and winning games. This seasons pre season games set the rot in and ruined...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Sat 6 Apr 2024

I would imagine they might target certain games that they think they can win from tonight 8 home games in a row. I would have thought Torquay at home on Monday for certain. Truro win tonight and that one and it’s pretty much guaranteed another season in the NLS for them. And if they beat Torquay th...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Sat 6 Apr 2024

Bloody huge win, they say it's the hope that kills you and after Monday I had none, today they've given me the slightest. A shame Eastbourne won, hopefully Welling hold on against Torquay and they could get dragged into this Torquay definitely in it now. If we win game in hand then only 3points beh...

Re: Dartford v Eastbourne Borough Mon 1 Apr 2024

As frustrating as it is, gamesmanship is part of the game and if we were smart enough to use it we wouldn't have thrown away as many leads/points as we did in the first half of the season. I have to agree. If we can't be good, we could at least have been a bit nastier. We look so naive at times and...

Re: Chelmsford City v Dartford Fri 29 Mar 2024

Can’t say I’m looking forward to this one: the ground is a dump; it will be full of very smug City supporters; there’s no cover and its forecast to be pi$$ing down! The only positive will be a chance of a chat with a few Darts fans as the season rapidly draws to a close. The form guide suggests anot...

Re: News from around the National League South

I’ve said before and I know it’s absolutely not the way to look at it positively but it is reality. We must, must ensure that if we do finish in the relegation places we do so by being the highest placed relegated team. You just never know what will happen. That’s a very good point. Clubs are docke...

It's a little thing called 'support'. Thanks for stopping by, though. Sorry let me get this right, after everything you’ve said you want to quote the word “support” I wouldn’t know where to begin with that, are you aware of your own posts. It’s very simple, if you’re suffering you can easily just g...

Re: Dartford v Hemel Hempstead Town Sat 23 Mar 2024

Nothing but a win will do for two reasons; firstly, we need the points and secondly, it’s against the man who single handedly irritated every supporter after each and every interview.

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Utd Sat 16 Mar 2024

Best of luck to the Darts. We really could do with the rub of the green today against this mob. I’ll be keeping a close eye and ear on proceedings and, hopefully, look forward to much more positive reviews from posters from 4.45pm onwards!
