Re: Isthmian Premier League News

Burnsie was a genuinely decent fella and a great bloke to have in your team [ he wouldnt have put up with last seasons slackers ] , he really was a defender/midfielder but did have that one crazy season as a striker when I think he got 20 goals but next season couldnt hit a barn door except for a c...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

I remember all that quite clearly. It was the year I moved to Dartford from Bedfordshire and became a Dartford supporter and gave up my Gooner season ticket. I was hooked instantly with the facilities, the team (top of the league) and a friendly bunch of fans. (“We’re gonna bounce in minute…” 😜) Wa...

Re: Isthmian Premier 2024/25

Bowers and Pitsea made an immediate return to the Isthmian Premier following relegation. Two penalty shoot out wins in the play off semi and final was sufficient. Perhaps we can take some encouragement from that although our record in play off penalties suggests otherwise!

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

It takes me back to the last season in the Isthmian Premier Division - I think our away record was 18 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss..... But then again my memory isn't what it used to be. How about last game of the season away to Bognor? Incredible away record that year. We only lost to Tooting (I’m sur...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

Both the season ticket offerings and the sale of alcohol on the terraces is a great initial offering from the club on the back of the many excellent suggestions on this thread. A few weeks back I was at Bury Town and they were doing a roaring trade selling plenty of beer at their bar situated on the...

Re: News from around the National League South

Braintree beat Chelmsford 2-3 today in the Play Off Semi Final with the winner coming in the 98th minute. Chelmsford was 0-2 down up until the 90th minute then scored 2 in 2 minutes to take it to extra time. Worthing are at home to Maidstone in the other Semi Final tomorrow. Never like to see Chelm...

Link for step 3 leagues maps. No doubting the Isthmian Premier will make for nice local football next season.

Yellow = Isthmian Prem

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

I’ll be at Felixstowe on Saturday for the visit of New Salamis with the Seasiders needing a win and hoping both Bowers & Pitsea and Bury lose to clinch runners up spot. If Bowers or Brentwood win the play offs they will be promoted to the Isthmian Premier. If Bury or Felixstowe succeed then the...

Re: Isthmian Premier League News

Might as well get ready for next season  It won’t be long before we know who is lining up in the Isthmian Premier in August. It’s the last day of the Isthmian Premier League season on the weekend and only one playoff place and one relegation place to be confirmed. Although the relegation spot ...

Re: News from around the National League South

Also, when will there be some uniformity across the board with the different leagues over the docking of points? Re playing of ineligible players Mickleover -12 points. Harborough -6 points Torquay -1. I get it may have been because of the severity of the misdemeanor but it could have made a hell o...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

I’ve mentioned this before but a very good friend of mine is & has been in the Outdoor Catering game all his working life, & has often reminded me that you make more profit percentage wise from selling a simple cup of tea than you do in any other form of catering!! Just a thought?? I can co...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

There is one thing Park Life that I would like clarity on. It is mentioned now and again that if special offers or free entry is made on ticket entry the loss of money can be offset with extra bar and food sales I would like to know what the deal is with the catering deal. Do we get a rent irrespec...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

I have long thought that DFC are missing a bit of a trick and potential income that other clubs are cashing in on and have a few questions? 1. Why is the club shop now outside of the ground and only visible if you walk past that way? It used to have doors to the inside and outside of the ground mak...

Ideas - a reserve/U23's team playing in a competitive league, (not a reserve league) it may bridge the gap for the talented current U18 team who have just won their league. Players/manager to acknowledge fans at the end of the game, whatever the result. Free season ticket for U16's. Free entry for ...

Re: CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS

Unfortunately so many of our older supporters have passed away in recent years, some whom used to undertake voluntary activities to help the club. These haven’t been replaced and we have sadly neglected enticing younger support to fill the void on the terraces. So, whilst we can suggest actions for ...

Re: News from around the National League South

Especially as Hemel's last game (their only one) is away at Taunton! Torquay do have the potential saving grace that their last game is at home to Havant and Waterlooville. Thinking of going to Taunton next Saturday to cheer Dowse on to a double success!!! LOL Is that match actually being played at...
