Re: Dartford v Slough Town Tue 5 Sep 2023

I have frequently been described as one of the "rose tinters" on here, but if I'm going to keep that reputation, Dowse really has to give me something to work with. I'm sorry, but the style of football we are playing is simply horrible to watch and there is absolutely zero flair or creati...

Clean sheet and 3 points, just what the Dowse ordered!

Well done, Darts.

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 12 Aug 2023

True but the same could be said about the views on this forum. Woe betide anyone have an opinion that differs to anyone on here! I don't think that's entirely true Dicky. What has actually happened to anyone who (genuinely) dares to offer a minority opinion? I am only aware of Rick having to kick t...

Re: Weymouth v Dartford Sat 12 Aug 2023

Find some of the comments on twitter infuriating. You'd think we'd just been relegated. We're 2 games in ffs!!! The comments on Twitter are mainly comments from idiots. Just find it ridiculous to be honest, people already asking for a managerial change. That's the last thing we need at this point. ...

Re: Fixtures 23/24

Must admit one benefit I now have in living in an over 55 retirement village, is the reciprocal arrangements with 32000 other communities around the country. I am staying in Newcastle this weekend for the Dunston match and its costing me £20 per night. Just basically a simple on suite room but wort...

That made me chuckle on a Sunday morning, Ozy. Let’s hope I’m still laughing at the end of the season!

Re: News from around the National League South

Terry Sullivan was indeed a fine player but I didn't enjoy version 2 of his return. Was it under Bobby Makin? In fact, TS looked more like Wilson from the Tom Hanks movie rather than a former football player. I think Sully came out of a semi retirement to do Bobby Makin a favour as his first season...

Re: News from around the National League South

Blimey Spike, didn't see that coming. Terry Sullivan was a superb player and in all the years supporting Dartford, probably the best ever I've seen. Trouble is I will always remember his goal against us for Bishop Stortford in the Trophy. Blinding goal. Not as good as the one he got at the car park...

Spot on, Spike. Definitely want we want to hear from our manager and certainly the sort of positive vibe I had when Dowse was originally appointed. Im sure the new signings will justify our rediscovered optimism.

Not sure they would want to go through all that pullava again?
Let’s hope the FA see sense and transfer Chelmsford to the North then!

    Re: KentOnLine Interview with Dowse.

Extremely disappointed in the majority of Dowse’s comments. I thought the bloke was a fighter but instead appears to be something of a whinger. At the recent Meet the Manager gathering he stated this was the best run football club he’d been involved with. I suggest he convey the benefits of a well r...

A good team performance and we unfortunately paid for the missed chances in the end and then to lose on penalties We were the better team but made two mistakes which cost us the win on the day from a rehearsed corner and that first penalty miss but full marks to all of our players who had to take t...

Bradbury makes that 42 players used this season. Wow! Not many less than SK, eh baldyshaw! Just thought instead of another loan player, maybe give some of the Academy Kids a start, Cameron is a good player, why not use him, (im aware hes out on loan again) instead of the invisible Man Tommy Block, ...

    Re: Player news

I'm glad that we have signed someone to mix it up as regards the attack. What I don't understand is Dorchester have a good chance of getting into the play-off's so why would they loan out one of their forwards? Unless of course he's not making first choice. Seem's strange, but good luck to the lad ...

Get well soon, Charlie. And as has been said on here and elsewhere; the referee was shocking and I think failed to give one decision Charlie’s way in several collisions with their centre halves.
