I had a chat with our new manager (Mr Dowson)this morning in the car park before going to the golf course at PP.
He was very positive and I was impressed by his enthusiasm .
Time will tell but I think that we are in good hands.

Re: Player news
The striker issue will be interesting.
There was a lot of inconsistency with our front players last season imo.
There is probably lots of reasons for that but hopefully Dowse will come up with one or two answers.

Re: NEW FIRST TEAM MANAGER: ALAN DOWSON
Breath of fresh air!
Dowse obviously wants to be a big part of the club not just the team.
Genuine guy and very positive .
I like his attitude and he is obviously approachable.
Roll on the new season.

Re: Player news
Well the 4 players that have rejoined so far are all good signings imo.
Looking forward to a few more old faces and some new ones as well.
Need to score more goals consistently.

Re: NEW FIRST TEAM MANAGER: ALAN DOWSON
I was happy when Kingy came in
But I wasn't unhappy when he went.
But it is a new dawn and hopefully not to much chopping and changing with the team and a settled squad.
Looking forward to next season and some entertaining football
Welcome to DFC Mr Dowson!

Re: Who do the real Dartford Fans want as the new Manager ?
Managers come and go .
I am sure that our directors will endeavour to bring in someone with experience and knowledge of this level of football.
There are possibly reasons that Kingy was sacked that we will never know about but we can only move on and put it down to experience.

Re: Steve King
All I know is that we can all argue and make a case for and against the sacking but.,........... What is done is done and one day we will find out why King was dismissed We move on with hopefully a new manager in place very soon. I know at least 4 of our directors quite well and they are decent peop...

Re: Steve King
More important things than the exit our manager...IMHO we will.need to get the new manager in place sooner rather than later for obvious reasons
Eg....players contracts and hopefully building a squad of to go again in August.

Re: Steve King
Like others on here I speak to several members of our board.and they are all top people who are DFC through and through . As far as I am concerned if they were unanimous in the decision to relieve SK of his responsibilities then as a supporter and season ticket holder that is good enough for me.

Re: Steve King
Yes ,we move on. Many thanks Steve but I too was not going to renew my season ticket because of all the personel changes. Burman, Taylor , Still and Ernie Morgan all DFC managers who won trophy' and league titles ,they all did it with squads of 20ish I wish Kingy well but 45 Plus players is ridiculo...

Re: Steve King
I doubt if we will find out the complete story but as one of the supporters who wanted Kingy to come to the club after the chuckle brothers resigned,I am not surprised at the boards decision . SK is well known and has a lot of tactical knowledge and a lot of contacts in the game but for some reason ...

Re: Promotions / Relegations
So, six promoted clubs into our league..
Two promoted and one relegated from our present league gives us
24 clubs therefore 46 league games ,(8 more than last season)
Looks like SK will need 47 players again next campaign!

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Thu 12 May 2022 19:45
Strange how we can score 6,0,7and0 against decent oppo in our last 4 games. No shots on target until the pens?...if that is true then we need to take a long hard.look at ourselves . Consistency. Wins leagues. I fancied us to beat the Fleet especially away from home but it wasn't meant to be. Oh.well...

Re: Should we go full time if the finances allow?
I appreciate the fact that the injuries have taken their toll but When you here that other clubs have had success with a squad of 20 or so then maybe going full time (if finances allow) is the way to.go. I do agree though that it cannot be easy to create a great team spirit when the revolving door i...

Should we go full time if the finances allow?
After looking at the National league table there are a lot of ex league clubs and full time non league clubs .
So is it time for the club to consider it ( if finances allow obviously)

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Thu 12 May 2022 19:45
A lot of knee jerk reaction on here and quite understandable. I understand that Kingy is on contract Until 2024 if true and the fact that his experience and contacts in the game suggest to me it is a no Braintree that he stays Chippenham had done their homework but I have to ask....did we?. Next sea...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Thu 12 May 2022 19:45
I came away from PP thinking business as usual . First of all congrats to Chippenham ,they had a game plan and stuck to it. It has been 10 years since TB won a play off final for the club and the longer the game went on it was obvious that we were not going to score. and win the match. For some reas...
