Re: Dartford v Havant and Waterlooville Sat 21 Oct 2023

I'm assuming Tom Bonner will not be playing, and I am not concerned even if he does magically appear on their teamsheet. Personally, it would be handclapping from me if he did, in recognition of his service to the club. There does seem to be a lot of vitriol and angst aimed at both Tom and Kingy am...

Re: Dartford v Tonbridge Angels Sat 23 Sep 2023

I do admire the eternal optimists in here. It makes for refreshing reading but there’s not one ounce of me that can ‘focus’ on a draw at home with Bath and, dare I say it, a fluke, last ditch, win at Aveley with all the shit that has gone on in between and since. The negatives massively outweigh th...

JCJ, you say “not the right appointment I can see us falling behind the likes of Ebbsfleet & Maidstone...” are we not already behind Maidscum?

Re: Steve King

This news has made my morning coffee taste that much more bitter. Whilst I am a big Kingy supporter, (his appointment caused me to invest in a DFC season ticket for first time) I agree with what Trev B says about his thirst for tinkering and meddling with the squad. I think it became too big and dif...

Re: Dartford v Chippenham Thu 12 May 2022 19:45

What a huge disappointment - it was like many a cup final, a lot at stake, it gripped me but lacked quality, for me there was no obvious winner. One of the biggest disappointments was that the players didn't seem to learn from the early overhit forward passes, (due to the wet ground?) which went int...

Re: Dartford v Braintree Town Mon 2 May 2022

Can't believe I am agreeing with most of what up the darts has said... and I was there! Probably the worst home game I have seen this season. And again, Kingy must think he has a squad of two equal X1's, without realising they need to play together regularly. A good manager doesn't become bad overni...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

Thanks for the kind words about the MUFC performance but having watched the highlights it really shows how close to an equaliser you were. You may feel that you underperformed but the reality is that had a blade of grass been in a different position your shot would have skimmed the inside of the po...

Following your opinion Kent C, I am searching for Dartford in the bottom half of the table :o Bit sill that mate to be honest try and think harder with your response. Far more criticism on here than on my post. And if you read my previous posts I thought we could of got something from it. Are you s...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

Does anyone know if the referee took any action against Maidstone number 20 Deacon after the game had ended, when he exercised his gloating antics at our fans? He was dragged back towards the centre by his own players, and then when released by them went back to our fans for another p take and had t...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

I’m a Steve king fan. To me he’s a proven top manager. This doesn’t mean I don’t think at times things can be better. He hasn’t addressed our goal shy attack. The midfield doesn’t seem to control games or at least large parts of games. I am unsure as to what our game plans are sometimes. Too many p...

Re: Dartford v Maidstone Mon 18 Apr 2022

Number 20, Deacon the name, I trust it is in the referees notebook/report, as the ref's responsibilities are not over until he leaves the building. And the definition of "deacon" has been rewritten, not as per "deacon, a member of the lowest rank of the threefold Christian ministry&qu...

Re: Play off dates.

I guess as others have found, other than early season proposed dates, awaited/tbc, and reading between the lines of the National League website, (no better than Darts website although now more up to date), there is nothing in writing! Seems to me M1, you should let the league know what dates you are...

Re: Player news

Jack Jebb received a red card after the final whistle at Needham Market and will now serve a two match ban which means that he will miss the games against Bath and Dorking (unless the London Senior Cup match against Brentford B is included). Any idea why TFW? He will be missed. Booked: Allen, Azeez...

Re: Fa Trophy 5th round Needham Market v Dartford Sat 12 Feb 2022

Duke, I think the players couldn't wait to get away from the understandable celebrations of the home team. However, they did come back out to acknowledge the fans who by then had got round to the halfway line. Maybe it was a second thought but at least they made the effort.

Re: Fa Trophy 5th round Needham Market v Dartford Sat 12 Feb 2022

Agree with Spike the least said about the game yesterday the better. The best entertainment for me was the arrival of four response vehicles at the bowls and cricket club where we were parked, and where the two supporters coaches were also parked up. The scene was like Keystone Cops as officers floo...
