Re: Canvey Island v Dartford Sat 11 Apr 2026
Let's just get the 9 points as I'm confident that would be enough.

Re: Canvey Island v Dartford Sat 11 Apr 2026
Brentwood currently have a capacity of 1000 - 1500 with seating for 160 - 278.
A lot of work needed by the looks of it, do they have the finances to do it all in time.
I've seen that 1500 figure in a few places but I'm not convinced it's still correct as they had a lot of work done in 2024 and ...

Re: Canvey Island v Dartford Sat 11 Apr 2026
So I guess it all comes down to what their current capacity actually is.
Under the FA’s current Step 3 to Step 2 ground grading rules, they would need to already have a certified capacity of at least 1,950 before any promotion could be approved, and then show a credible plan to reach 3,000 by 31 ...

Re: Canvey Island v Dartford Sat 11 Apr 2026
Don’t want to look like I’m clutching at straws here, but are Brentwood even eligible for promotion? My understanding is that NLS teams need to have a 3,000 capacity ground
That's true, but there's always the caveat that allows them to go up if they have plans in place to upgrade the ground to ...

Re: Dartford v Chatham Town Mon 6 Apr 2026
Another very good performance from the Darts, we do seem to have hit a good run of form, let's hope it's not too late. A fair result I think, MOTM Dan Smith. However, I have to say I've been very impressed with the two spells we've seen from Evans Kouassi, this guy is exciting. He is very quick and ...

Re: Canvey Island v Dartford Sat 11 Apr 2026
So here we ar then ... Folkestone, Aveley and Billericay are out of reach and from our perspective there are now only 9 games of the regular season that matter. It's a difficult task, but with the recent run of form we have to believe we are CAPABLE of winning all three of our games, in which case ...

Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
Obviously, you can't fault our lads as they did everything required and got a thoroughly comprehensive result. But to be honest, this game did nothing for the integrity of the league. I have the utmost respect for their remaining players, who had to endure the humiliation, but I have no respect ...

Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
So we're up against a team whose players have been battling against relegation, blissfully unaware that relegation was their club's objective. Having formally requested to get relegated anyway, the club are apparently seeking to make it even more official by securing an official relegation spot as ...

Re: Dartford v Hashtag Utd Sat 28 Mar 2026
I'm glad they are being voluntarily relegated if only because I hate having to tell family and friends that we're playing against a keyboard symbol when it wasn't that long ago it was Wrexham, Luton or Cambridge Utd. We get away with games against the paper mills by calling them "PM", but Hashtag ...

Re: Dartford v Lewes Sat 21st March 3pm
Despite the dodgy 20 minute second half spell, Darts were much the better side overall and thoroughly deserved the win. Having said that, if Henley hadn't made the wonder save at 2-1, I feel we may even have ended up losing, by such small margins are games won and lost. As it stands we still have ...

Re: Dartford v Lewes Sat 21st March 3pm
Whilst it looks unlikely, I wouldn't go so far as to say we need a miracle to make the play-offs and there's nothing wrong with talking about it and hoping. Last week we were the better side against the runaway leaders, so the squad are more than capable. That sort of performance level for the last ...

Re: Folkestone Invicta v Dartford Sat 14 Mar 2026
Of course, the only thing that really matters is the points and in that respect it was a bad day as we've lost more ground on the playoff places. However, when it comes to analysing the performance, Darts deserve nothing but praise. It just proves that the team has been underperforming and is more ...

Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Tue 10 Mar 2026
Darts much the better side, dominated possession, but nobody willing to take the shot ... Until Eddy came on. All the huffing and puffing means nothing if you don't score. We could so easily have got less than we deserved . Nevertheless, it was a decent win and it keeps the dream alive..

Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Tue 10 Mar 2026
I think going home from Wingate & Finchley after 35 minutes was a new record. Anyway, he's now coming in my car on Tuesday, so unless he wants to walk home he'll be there until the finish.

Re: Wingate & Finchley v Dartford Sat 7 Mar 2026
Wingate & Finchley are not a good side, but then neither are we and even more importantly, they wanted it more than we did. Our body language isn't good and you wonder if things are as they should be in the dressing room. We've scraped a few extra points from some disappointing home performances ...

Re: Dartford v Ramsgate Tue 3 Mar 2026
Taken in isolation I thought that was a decent performance from our lads against very good opponents. Easily our best showing for a couple of months. Ramsgate had lots of pace and started at a very high tempo and for a while we struggled to cope, but our defence stood firm and gradually we got on ...

Re: Dartford v Ramsgate Tue 3 Mar 2026
Getting into the playoffs is not success. Getting promoted is our definition of success. Failure in the playoffs is still failure, albeit arguably failure without embarrassment.
The last 3 games have been rubbish and I don't believe our squad is good enough to even get into the playoffs, let alone ...
