Re: Dartford v Chelmsford Tue 15 Mar 2022

Great first half and a deserved victory no doubt, but not for the first time, you have to wonder if the half-time cuppa has been replaced with a Nytol infused Horlicks as we frequently seem to display somnambulistic tendencies for the 15 minutes or so after the break. That short period of indolence ...

Re: News from around the National League South

Parmenter is to blame!! Again feel sympathy for the genuine fans!! Agreed. It was stupid to unilaterally down tools when they could have fielded a team and fulfilled their obligation to play. Even if their claims about not having the finances were true, they could simply have cut costs and fielded ...

Re: Chippenham v Dartford Sat 12 Mar 2022

Murtagh sent off. The guy is a liability, lost the ball countless times already and now 2 yellows. Throwing away the work we did last week mr positive is back. Mr Realistic more like, seen enough of Murtagh this season and he's had far more bad games than he has good Have you actually seen him? I'm...

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

I would like to shake the hand of the person who stopped the pitch invading moron from jumping over the wall to escape the stewards. It was encouraging to see how the fans reacted to this idiot's behaviour as he was loudly booed and his capture was widely applauded. I do understand the comments abou...

Re: Dartford v Dorking Sat 5 Mar 2022

That was the best game of football I've seen all season. Darts were fantastic and I agree with Kingy that we deserved to have won by a bigger margin. The only disappointment on the day was the ref ignoring the foul that led to Dorking scoring and getting back into the game. That made it a lot closer...

Re: Player news

Personally I just go by the premise that good managers win more football matches than bad ones. How they achieve that varies for each individual, but ultimately is up to them. I don't think we've been out of the top 5 since Kingy got up and running, so it seems a little premature to be telling him w...

Re: Hungerford v Dartford Tue 22 Feb 2022

It's never enjoyable playing Hungerford for numerous reasons and last night was more of the same. We love playing you though! 🤍🖤 We've played you twice this season, we've won one and you've won one. If you want to understand the difference between our two clubs it's that we regard that as a failure...

If I supported your lot, I too would be excited at the prospect of seeing a bit of football.

Re: London Senior Cup Quarter Final - Dartford v Brentford "B" Tue 1st March 2022

Well if it happens, I would be delighted to see Eriksen play, he's a great talent and after the scare he gave us last year I'm just pleased the guy is fit and able again. That said, Mickey Mouse cup though it may be, if we're in it I want to win it, so I wouldn't be disappointed if he had a stinker....

Re: Hungerford v Dartford Tue 22 Feb 2022

There wasn't a lot wrong with our first half showing. The shape and balance of the team looked good, we dominated the game and created a shed load of chances. Had we taken even just one of them then I think we would have gone on to win comfortably, not least because that would have forced Hungerford...

Re: Dartford v Bath City Sat 19 Feb 2022

That was a well earned victory, due in no small part to an excellent day's work by our defence. Tom Bonner is such an influential captain, we look so much better when he's conducting things at the back. Has to be my MOTM for this one. Okay, so it wasn't a great game to watch, but it was a thoroughly...

Re: Fa Trophy 5th round Needham Market v Dartford Sat 12 Feb 2022

I agree Pete. I was too far away to tell at the game and the original video I saw was from a different angle and I was furious when I saw that one as I thought we'd been stitched up. But you are correct, the match highlights clearly show it was a shove in the back and like it or not that's a penalty...

Good luck to Needham, they were worthy winners. Other than that, the less said about yesterday's debacle the better. Tuesday can't come quick enough.

Re: Player news

IMO Dan Roberts is class and Carshalton have got themselves a quality player, BUT ONLY ON LOAN FOR A MONTH. Hope he gets plenty of game time and returns to PP asap. Go smash it Dan. Dan has got bags of potential, he works his socks off and keeps defenders on their toes. He just needs one to go in o...

Re: Player news

Gutted to see Noor go. Can't blame him, but he really was the heart-beat of the midfield for me. Without him I can only see us sliding further down the division. Sadly, I don't believe King has what it takes to get a side promoted. Completely ridiculous statement that adds no value to this thread w...

Re: Havant & Waterlooville v Dartford Wed 9 Feb 2022

Solid performance and although only 1-0 it never felt like we were in any danger. Havant were a bit one dimensional, repeatedly hitting long balls down the right hand side with little or no variation. It did pose a problem once or twice, but the Havant fan I was talking too was very despondent and f...

Re: Dartford v Welling United Sat 5 Feb 2022

Well that's twice in a row we've created 6 goals versus Welling, but unfortunately, of the 6 we created today, only 4 of them were at the correct end. We definitely missed Capt Bonzo's leadership and defensively we were all over the shop in the first half and gifted Welling both of their goals. For ...

Re: Dartford v Welling United Sat 5 Feb 2022

It always worries me a bit when we start saying we mustn't underestimate our opponents. I understand why we are saying it, but the very fact that we ARE implies that we think they are worthy of being underestimated. The 6-0 drubbing is ancient history. From what I've seen this season anyone can beat...
