Re: Dartford Disneyland Plan falls through

Experts predict that life on earth should last for approximately another 1.5 billion years, so although the fight to build the park is ongoing, I doubt they will be able to rush it through in the time left before global extinction.

Re: News from around the National League South

Are Welling in trouble? Lost again today to Concord (along with another red card) Only 6 points off the relegation zone and a lot of teams around there seem to be picking up points (plus Taunton with 5 games in hand) The answer is yes. Lost to Taunton on Tuesday 21st. Cant buy a goal. Crap soul des...

Oh cripes ... Paul/Baldyshaw/Reg/Arthur (I can't even remember the others) is back with yet another pseudo account.

I hope Kingy keeps his bunny under constant surveillance.

Re: Dartford v Farnborough Sat 11 Mar 2023

That's the best we've played since Christmas. Excellent performance, Murtagh did well filling in for Essam and lots of 8 or 9 out of 10 performances, but Luke Coulson was on another planet and was MOTM by at least 10 country miles. Easily his best ever game in a Darts shirt. Other results mostly goi...

I wish I knew how to highlight things on here?? I would highlight Spike's second half of his post. Isn't that what a few on here have been saying for weeks? and yet some of us get put down. Ozy, being disagreed with is not being "put down", it's just people expressing different opinions. ...

They absolutely could, although they're playing Dulwich at the weekend and on current form they should both lose that game.

Re: Hungerford Town v Dartford Tue 7 Mar 2023

I was initially bemused at Dowse's team selection until I was later told that that Meade and Wynter had both turned up on the night and only then declared themselves as injured. That couldn't have helped Dowse's preparation for the game and sure enough, it wasn't pretty and there were not too many p...

Re: London Senior Cup Quarter Final - Dartford v Haringey Borough - Tue 28 Feb 2023

Not much between the sides, our young lads did well enough and if anything, it was the senior pros who underperformed,. None of them shone but Campbell in particular will want to forget this one. Herschel did ok in patches and if he gets his head right could still be a prospect. Pick of the bunch fo...

Re: Dartford v Oxford City Sat 25 Feb 2023

It was like watching two sharks with rubber teeth trying to nudge each other to death. Lots of swift movement and threatening intent with absolutely no bite up front. Sure, Oxford are pretty to watch and had the majority of the posession, but so what? There's no posession column on the league table....

On the contrary Duke. It's your inherent negativity that's clouding your judgement. Find me a bookie that has Oxford as favourites and I'll concede the point.

We are 2nd in the league with 6 more points than Oxford and we are at home. I'm expecting a very tough game but we are not underdogs.

Re: Dartford v Slough Town Tue 21 Feb 2023

Judging by the comments of those listening to the commentary, I felt this game was much better than it may have come across. It was entertaining and we did everything right on 90% of the pitch but squandering so many chances may have made the contest appear much closer than it really was. Neverthele...

Re: Kent Senior Cup 2nd round - Ebbsfleet v Dartford Tue 7th Feb 2023

Not the worst game I've seen and a creditable result against a very strong Ebbsfleet side. A shame we are knocked out as the KSC has been a useful competition for sharpening up players who need a bit of match practice and also giving the youngsters a chance to shine. On which note, Tom Wray had a ve...

Re: Welling v Dartford Sat 4 Feb 2023

Darts started the game with the lethargometer (were such a thing to exist), cranked all the way up to 11. Even the most ardent Dartford fan would have to concede that Welling had the upper hand in the first half and deserved their half-time lead and at that point it looked like we were heading for a...
