Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Chelmsford and Worthing both won tonight so we're going to have to get the job done ourselves. We simply must win this game on Thursday.

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

A fair interview from Jay Saunders, he comes across as a decent guy and always speaks a lot of sense.

Re: Concord Rangers v Dartford Thu 20 April 2023

Well we are definitely in the play-offs now and assured of a top 5 finish which means at LEAST one play-off game at home, either in one of the semi-finals or, heaven forbid, in the 4th v 7th or 5th v 6th games. A win at Concord will guarantee us to at least match last season's 4th place and if Chelm...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

Makes you realise just how professional the DFC match videos are :D This isn't an official Tonbridge video though (Tonbridge Fan TV) - a bit like KSTDART - but with more filming and actually showing ALL our bookings, which our all singing/all dancing twitter feed failed to mention (as per usual). M...

Re: Tonbridge Angels v Dartford Sat 15 Apr 2023

It was a near perfect example of how to stifle your opponents and grab a precious away win. We did to Tonbridge what Taunton did to us. After Napa's great finish for the goal we were never threatened by Tonbridge and cruised through the rest of the game. Sure, we didn't pose much threat ourselves ei...

Actually Tony, that is what you said, although I didn't think it was what you meant.

"Sadly, playing personnel (nor our management team) is not going to change between now and 14th April"

Maybe edit that bit.

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

Geez, that was a hard watch. We produced absolutely nothing in the second half and the better team won. Even I can't put a positive spin on that one. Woeful.

Re: Second place

:) Thankfully, and despite some idiotic and unfounded accusations to the contrary, I know that our board are doing everything in their power to get this club promoted. The thing is, despite what many people seem to think, it isn't easy. I’m not a snowflake sensitive soul but I hope you don’t mean m...

Re: Second place

It kills me a bit when I hear people saying we shouldn’t go up. There are a few out there. Eight seasons is quite a long time to remain in any one division and while we wouldn’t cope at all well with the current squad, changes would be rolled in an attempt to equip the team as best as possible for ...

Re: Second place

Interesting stuff, and the little table at the bottom is the most telling. History suggests that the team finishing second are more likely to get promoted than any one of the other 5 teams put together. If we didn't know it already, having to play just two games rather than three, and both at home, ...

Re: Dartford v Taunton Town - Thu 13 April 2023

Barring a series of miraculous upsets and statistical anomalies that would defy the laws of probability, Taunton are safely secured in the National South for another season. My advice to them would be to give their best players the night off on Thursday as a reward for their recent successful endeav...

Re: Dartford v Dover Mon 10 Apr 2023

Fairly even first half but a massive improvement in the second and we were worthy winners. Phenomenal goal from Luke and a massive 3 points. At this stage it doesn't matter how you win, just so long as you win. 7 points from the remaining 15 would almost certainly be enough for that vital 2nd place....

Re: Eastbourne Borough v Dartford Fri 7 Apr 2023

First half wasn't too bad, without looking particularly convincing we just about edged it to earn the 1-0 lead. Second half, we immediately threw away the lead with two sloppy goals after which we never threatened to do anything remotely likely to create an opportunity to get close to getting near e...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 1 Apr 2023

As for today's game, the first half was a tough watch but Dulwich never really posed any threat to our goal and once we got in front it felt comfortable. Second half was one way traffic and it was good to see Alex get his hat-trick and the inevitable MOTM. On any other day I think Richard Chin would...

Re: Dartford v Dulwich Hamlet Sat 1 Apr 2023

I get where you're coming from Spike, of course the table doesn't lie. I'm basing my comment on previous performances in which some, even you, had doubts about the standard/quality of the squad and the fact that when we were dropping points no other team could take advantage. Ozy, my objection was ...

Really Ozy, a miracle? If you were a bookie I'd take up gambling.
Look at the league tablle Ozy. It doesn't lie.
